According to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, free agent Mike Piazza will choose between offers from the A's and the Phillies.
The Phillies again? The AP reported last week that Pat Gillick had ruled out a Piazza signing. If Gillick has changed his mind, it's an obvious sign of desperation. It's not that Piazza wouldn't be a fine choice to bat behind Ryan Howard for 100 or so games next season, but Gillick has said he was making defense a priority in seeking an upgrade at catcher.

Piazza to the Phillies would probably make Jose Reyes' day.

Piazza would hit a ton in that park.

It was rumored a lot of the SD pitchers preferred to throw to Bard.

I agree. Piazza news should be in the Mets Forum.

It speculation though. If it was an article about him signing a deal I wouldn't care, but we don't really need "rumours" about Piazza in Mets&Minors
