I don't like Yankees, in fact, I flat out root against them, but I thought this was a kind of interesting article and they are a kind of interesting team this year. A bit of a hodge-podge of youth and overpaid vets.

I thought this was an interesting article, if short, it caught my interest.

The Yanks are light on starting pitching.

They have Tanaka - who's very solid and by today's standards, no longer overpaid.

CC, who's pretty average these days.

and Pine-Tar Pineda, who might have the tools to get better, lead the league in K's per 9 last year, but was pretty average otherwise.

and after those 3, a bunch of unknowns including former met Luis Cessa.

Their lineup is surprisingly young for a Yankee team, though A-Rod is still on the payroll. Gaby Sanchez, Aaron Judge & Greg Bird give them a potentially cub like explosion of youth, if all 3 guys perform in 2017, which is far from a guarantee but is certainly possible.

Writeup here for anyone who doesn't follow the Yankees: http://empirewritesback.com/2016/09/06/ ... p-in-2017/

I'm still going to root against them, but they have rebuild right. They have a nice young core. I might even watch them once in while, which I generally try to avoid. Even Met-Yankee games, I'd rather see the mets play almost anyone else. I don't think I've watched a Yankee game since they played the mets in the world series, but I might watch them a little this year.

Thoughts? Anyone want to discuss the Yankees? How much they hate them, or any Yankee fans?
