Vince Oghobgase would be a nice sign for the Jets. Prospectus, any idea why nobody grabbed him??

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

Really disappointed in the Jets this weekend after Kyle Wilson. Really disappointed.

For the Jets, I was definitely surprised they did not addressed anything at safeties and it was not like all of them were all gone by Day 3.

Conner seems more like a Brian Leonard type of player so I am a bit interested as to how the Jets will bring him in to replace a guy like Richardson.

McKnight, I just assume he is filling the Leon role while Wilson will replace Leon in ST role.

Jets say they are planning to move Gholston to DE. And since they do that, it makes the fact they did not take a LB in any capacity the more puzzling.

D'Brickasaw did not seem happy about the Leon and Faneca moves on his twitter. You wonder how the other veterans are reacting to this but lucky for them it is still pretty early in the off-season that this will likely blow over- though fans never forget.

I think Wilson is a stud, Ducasse can definitely develop into a rock solid starter for ten years, McKnight's not a guy who is going to march up the middle but rather on the edge, and who knows with Conner. This draft is a very wait-and-see.

I really like what the Jets did in the draft. I do not like getting rid of Leon or Faneca, but I understand the business side of it.

The Wilson pick was great. Great value at a position of need. I haven't really seen too many people who do not like the pick. Rex needs corners for his system to work, and the Jets may have the best group of corners in the league now.

The Ducasse pick is a risk, but it could pay off in a huge way. I would have preferred to replace Faneca with someone who is a little more of a sure thing, but if Bill Callahan signs off on it then I do too. Mike T says it is an open competition between Slauson and Ducasse, but I would imagine they view Ducasse as the starter at LG. And he may even be viewed as the eventual replacement to Woody at RT. Our line was great last year, but it was aging and I do not mind getting younger.

Joe McKnight should be a nice weapon for Sanchez. Big play potential and good hands. Sounds a lot like Leon. He was a little injury prone in college and will likely be scratched here and there, but he is a potential difference maker. Schotty will be able to create some matchup problems when McKnight is on the field.

John Conner is our best pick. First there is the name. Then he has some skills. TRich is not getting any younger, and hopefully John Conner can learn a thing or two from one of the best in the business. And John Conner can line up as a blocking TE a little and is a beast on special teams.

I like the draft. The Jets made moves for the future and the present. We were able to get younger and improve the current team as well.

Are they imaging Conner as an H-Back? Because it seems his has to thicken up to be a true FB.

FWIW Kiper gave the Jets and Giants a B grade. But he gave the Raiders, a team who I thought had one of their best days in ages, only a C+. Wait and see. Last year's draft class for many teams is still being evaluated.

Godfather posted his grades but manages to compliment the players selected by certain teams, unlike McShay (and to a lesser extent Kiper) who wag their finger at teams for not picking the guys they had in their mock drafts.

I disagree with some of the grades (the Broncos grade in particular) but Gosselin has my respect.

Why did ESPN not have Jaworski on Thursday and Friday for the draft? I did not see all of the draft on Sunday but he was wayyyyy better than Steve Young. Jaworski is by far the best analyst they have IMO and he should have been used more. In fact, did anyone notice during the coverage on Thursday that it looked like Tom Jackson got mad at Young at one point because he wanted to talk and Young kept on yapping?

I am never a fan of ex-players/ex-coaches who are just there and have no idea of what they are talking about. At least have a college football guy there.

Ideally (note that I think Chris Berman ought to be put out to the pastures):
Rece Davis, Ron Jaworski, Mel Kiper Jr. (maybe McShay to shake things up), and Jon Gruden.
