I like Drew Brees, but he is not a Brady/Manning level QB. Certainly that's no insult. To me, he's no better than the Rodgers, Rivers, Romo group and he may not be as good as they are.

Marshawn Lynch's run is one of the best runs I've seen since Bo Jackson/Barry Sanders.

=D>

I was at my uncle's house watching the game, and even the people who know nothing about football (my aunt, my uncle, my mom, my sister) were all astounded by that.

That's a clip we'll likely be seeing for years.

Fantastic that Vick's "feel good story" ends like that. Thank you Green Bay.

Agreed. The idea that a great stretch of games somehow made him into superman kind of puzzled me. Here was a guy with a lot of history on an NFL field. It was inevitable that he revert to the norm for him - a somewhat mediocre NFL QB. I didn't criticize the media for marveling at his great run of game, I criticize them for acting like he always performed at that level. We kept hearing, "Well, that is Mike Vick out there."

No, that was Mike Vick today.

It stinks for the Falcons that they are the #1 seed and they have to play the Packers. Obviously, they would much rather play the Seahawks.

It's not like Vick played poorly. Akers with an uncharacteristically poor game basically cost the Eagles the game. That Green Bay defense is loaded and Vick played without DeSean for a large chunk of that game. Celek stepping out of bounds also was a huge play on the 2-pt conversion.

No, he didn't play poorly. He played mediocre, which is what every single thing about his entire career suggests that he is - a mediocre NFL QB.

Genmet, you may be right that Vick is a "somewhat mediocre NFL QB," but he is one of the best NFL players and quite possibly the hardest to gameplan for.

He is one of the most unique players to ever play the game. He does not have the most accurate arm, but it is one of the strongest in the NFL and he completed 62.6% of his passes this year. And he more than makes up for what he lacks in the passing game with his running.

His record as a starting QB in the NFL is 48-35-1 including playoffs.

Bills fans are used to seeing Lynch hitting people like that during his tenure in Buffalo.
