Granted, his receivers totally crapped the bed down the stretch aside from Heap, but they had 126 yards total offense. That's almost hard to comprehend.

Flacco's played six playoff games. He's been horrible in every single one.

Its actually 7, and he IS 4-3.

I realize thats like Pitcher's W/L record, but not really. QB controls more of the game, IMO, at least on the negative side (a baseball team can win regardless of how bad a pitcher). And I know the burden on him to do anything is much lower than on most QBs b/c of his D, but its the assertion that "They have to move on from him" that I disagree with, much like I've been hearing that from all my lovely NE'er co-workers this week about Sanchez.

I mean, he was pretty dang good this year. 63% completion percentage, 2.5/1 TD/INTs. And part of the reason his playoff stats look so bad is that he's faced Pitt in Pitt twice in them, Tennesee in 2008 which was a GREAT defense, and even KC last week, who he pretty much torched, was a great pass D this year. The Indy game last year wasn't good, and he literally didn't have to throw a single pass in the NE game last year if they didn't want him to.

He's not great, but I don't think he's a guy you "need to move on from", after his 3rd season at age 25. He's been there 3 years, and they've gotten to at least the 2nd round of the playoffs all 3 years. You can say that was b/c of the defense, but look at the teams immediately preceeding the Flacco era, with the same D (some might even say a better D before Flacco). They had 3 playoff appearances after their 2000 SuperBowl (so in 7 seasons), and won 1 playoff game total. 2007 team was 5-11.

Since I made the "need to move on from" comment, let me backtrack a little. Certainly his receivers killed him yesterday and the point about the Boldin drop is very fair. Also, he is young and has served them well overall. I think that he is limited however and if they can find someone who might be a better passer in the draft or otherwise they should explore it.

I always liked the Way Aaron Rogers(sp) has carried himself from the Brett Favre Situation at GB to now. Congratulations to the Packer QB.
