I know he dropped one earlier in the game, but I got a charge out of seeing Jerricho Cotchery make that great catch to tie the playoff game for Pittsburgh against the Broncos.

He is a genuine tough guy who understands it's still about what you do on the field.

Jags hire Mularkey to be their HC. Schotty not really mentioned for any other job out there, despite Rex and T making him sound like the hottest thing out there. Doubtful he was really ever even in the mix here.

Gotta pray Pops gets the TB job and he takes Son with him at this point. T and Rex have really talked themselves into a corner here with all that Schotty bluster - now they either look dumb and have to move on anyway, or have forced themselves into keeping him around, and now as an added bonus, he doesn't even have Callahan to lean on in the running game, which this season we saw is pretty much paramount to any offensive success the Schotty scheme might have (and by "success", I mean not being totally incompetent like they were this year).

Ugh. Between the Jets, Mets and Nets, this is what we call a sports rut.

The quotes from the anonymous Jets sources, players and people in the organization, on Sanchez and acting like Peyton Manning would save the day, just comes off delusional even if these opinions that Sanchez is 'babied' rings true to a lot of people. Also the Jets organization themselves called him 'San-chise'? Oh, boy.

The Giants win also just goes to show how important a pass rush WITHOUT the need of blitzing all the time like the Jets do. It is the biggest Jet need as far as I am concerned.

I was thinking the same thing.

Kind of interesting that the two Super Bowl teams defied conventional wisdom by stockpiling top-notch players in particular areas--Giants on the D-Line and Pats at TE.
