Something that's going to bear watching is that at least when he started at Rutgers, Schiano's rep was that he hired inexperienced assistants who were intimidated by him and were expected to be 'yes' men.

I'm not sure if that changed over the years, but it won't work in the NFL, where the assistants tend to be older men who are accomplished coaches in their own right. That's not to say the head coach isn't the supreme commander, but you can't (or shouldn't) talk to a 50-something man with 25 years experience the same way you talk to a 28-year old with 5 years experience. In Schiano's case, there are plenty of NFL assistants who have coached in the NFL longer than he's coached anywhere.

He was the QB coach for 2 years, and the receivers coach for a number of years beforehand. This guy has been on the Giants' staff for a while now.

Just to clarify, I wasn't referring to the guy that was hired, I was wondering how Schiano will work with more experienced assistant coaches like most of the ones in the NFL.
