Wilson can, like Jason Pierre-Paul, do several back flips. Also known for his energetic personality.

and I think this signals the end of Andre Brown's Giants career. I would have like to see what Da'Rel Scott could have done.

At combine, he lead all running backs in:
20 yard shuttle: 4.12 secs
60 yard shuttle: 11.59 secs
broad jump: 132.0 inches
vertical jump: 41 inches

and ran a 4.35 at his pro day

(according to some guy on the ESPN comments page)

Ha!

I don't know much about college football, and will wait to see what happens, but In Jerry We Trust. For now.

For sure, Giants fans have that luxury.

Jets fans? Not as much.

Funny story.

Quote:
One night last summer while walking past the school's basketball arena, Cassell Coliseum, with a teammate, Wilson decided to climb the concrete arches that are nearly 100 feet high and span the building. His sprinters speed gave him a good start, then his strong legs moved him farther. But at 10 p.m. the structure was moist and slippery. So to get back down he had to crab-walk, and avoid being seen by a passing police car so as not to cause a stir. For the irrepressible Wilson, who is deeply religious, it is all in good fun and a way to burn energy.

Oh, and there's this.

"I think I'm a mix of Arian Foster and Ray Rice with the way he breaks tackles and Arian Foster sometimes makes something out of nothing and I'm always trying to get that extra yard when I'm on the field," Wilson said.

confident bastard!

I could swear I did a very similar thing but no one would believe me. Just the people that were there.

Anyways, I was surprised by the pick. He was the 2A to Martins 2 as far as grade goes. He also was not a 1st rd graded prospect. The giants will most likely say they took BPA (which is not the case by most boards in this country, including there if I had to guess). However they took a guy that would have been gone ten picks later. Rather than move up, they reached (sort of) and took the guy they wanted.

As long as he can hold on to the ball, he should easily be a 1000 yrd back for many years. As long as the OL can block. As far as Im concerned, that was the number 1 reason for the Giants being ranked 32nd.

I wouldnt mind if the Giants traded OSI to move into the top of the 2nd to take Fleener. JR said himself, he had him ranked really high as well. Fleener can start right away. As far as Wilson, he can take his time. We have enough capable players on this team to allow him the chance to work on his weakness. This way we dont lose Eli for the season, mid way into the season, on a missed blitz pick up assignment.

Reading about him makes me feel a bit better, however, I still wish we took a Cordy Glenn, Upshaw, or Jonathon Martin. Oh well, I'm in his corner now.

Upshaw would have been really surprising. Seldom do we take guys with character issues. I liked Glenn the most there and had the Bucs not traded up, I think Martin is a Giant. I do like the pick and was surprised Miller was getting a Round 1 grade and not Wilson.

Randle is an A+ pick.

I hope Bobby Massie is still available in Round 3. :knocks on wood:

Agreed Pro. I like the Randle pick much more than Wilson. However, I am disbelief the Giants took TWO offensive players with their first two picks. I hope they do snag a OL next, I am not confident in Brewer and Beatty. Reese all about the Tech players this draft. I like this pick a lot, almost as much as Randle. Reese has a great way of finding the diamonds in the rough so to be speak so he definitely gets the benefit of the doubt. This draft is shaping to be a solid draft, a mix of need and value, and while not flashy name-wise, should give some good contributors.

Surprised Randle was still there when the Giants picked. I thought the Bucs would be all over that. Happy he landed in our spot. Hes good enough to start playing in week 1, as long as he is healthy. One of the very few WO that can run crisp routes.

Fingers really crossed for Bobby Massie of Ole Miss here. Pretty good track record with guys from there huh?
