I love the Davis pick. Great athlete with an unbelievable motor. Kiper said he has first round talent and if he played in a power conference could have been a much earlier pick.
Bush seems like more of a results guy, nothing special athletically.
And MJ, if you thought Bush was a WHO?, the Pats just took a guy that Kiper ranked as the 165th best safety in the draft...

LOL saw that. Apparently was a rugby player in college.
Not that I'm in the business of defending Bellicheck, but with your last pick, if you see something, then OK.
I don't think Josh Bush was going anywhere in the next 2 rounds.

Jets nab safety Antonio Allen at 242, the Gamecocks' leading tackler. Kiper was way off on him - had him pegged as a 3rd round pick.
At 244 the Jets go with another WR, Jordan White from Western Michigan. He caught 140 balls for 1911 yards (MAC single-season record) and scored 17 TDs including 13 catches for 265 yards against Purdue in a bowl game.

Undrafted FA signing: Donnie Fletcher, who was a multi-year starter at BC at CB. Had a terrible senior year, but he can play. Might be better suited as a ballhawking free safety at this level, but I'll go on record and guarantee he makes the final roster. Good signing.

The reviews are in on the Jets draft, and not surprisingly, no one really likes their effort.
Failed to substantially address their 2 biggest defensive positional needs at OLB/Pass Rush (most don't see Coples as a substantial upgrade in the pass rush, and he essentially puts a guy you didn't need to upgrade on in the short term, DeVito, into more of a rotational role rather than address a gaping hole) and Safety, as the 2 late-round safeties appear to be more special teamers/package guys than every down candidates. Maybe Allen plays some sort of hybrid 3rd down role in the mold of Ihedigbo.
Did address defensive speed, which they sorely lacked.
Did bring in 2 pretty good bodies for WR, both of which I think see significant time this year. My biggest problem here was that in a deep draft for WR talent (which was my BIG opposition to popping a guy like Floyd at 16 if he were there), you still traded up in the 2nd round to grab Hill, who is probably the biggest project of the high end talent. There was really no need to do that, with guys like Hill, Jeffery, Randal, et al, still on the board there with 4 or 5 picks to go (I forgot how many spots they traded up exactly). Honestly, w/Hill, while I initially was ga-ga over the pick, I became more skeptical as I read on. There's really no one who believes he'll be more than a "fly route, keep guys honest" player this year, and he has a ton of work to do to actually be a complete WR. Not sure he's going to hack it as a starter, as Rex already has anointed him, without being able to run routes. But I guess he can be the deep threat option that Sparano wants to introduce into the passing game, and that we sorely lacked last year. Jury out on hat one for me.
Didn't address OLB or OL at all, and that really shocks me. Bryan Thomas can't be counted on, and Wayne Hunter can't possibly be started (I think Mistuh T essentially acknowledged this in his comments) - and you didn't even bring in bodies to compete for those spots. It looks like Aaron Maybin in an everydown role and "Sink or Swim with Vlad" are the primary alternatives to those guys. Yikes.
Anyway, let the draftnick's comments speak for themselves in the link below, as everyone knows I was not a fan of most of the early-round work.
