Snap counts are out. Quinton Coples and Chaz Schillens are the big losers this week from last, which is quite damning considering the pass rush and passing game issues we were having.

I thought Coples would be the perfect "foil" for Big Ben...a bigger guy who could actually take down Ben instead of sliding off like the rest of our rushers did this week

Very disappointing

The game would have been a lot different if the Jets could have actually taken Big Ben down when they got to him. They really didn't have much trouble getting to him throughout the game...they just couldn't bring him down.

It was a pretty shocking offensive performance, especially when you consider the success the Jets had on the first two drives.

The special teams blunder by Kerley didn't lead to a score, but led to the Jets having to start a drive on their own 6.

All in all, a very poor performance from all 3 phases.

It also complete deflated the defense which was exhausted to begin with. We should have had a short field with the offense, still only down 10 at the time...

I know the Jets are on the road, but they absolutely cannot lose to the Dolphins on Sunday.

- Rookie QB
- No WR's of note
- star RB, but the Jets stuff the run excellently

This is teed up for a Jet blowout. The only way I see this game being close is if Sanchez throws the ball to the other team a bunch(which isn't out of the realm of possibility).

Pretty much. Avoid beating yourself (turnovers) and it shouldn't be too difficult of a game.

Jets should have no problem winning the first game. Its the second I would be weary of

Watched Steelers-Jets last night. Imagine if Sanchez did that Week 1. One of his worst career games. Wasn't about the matchup.

Rosenthal consistently hates on the Jets. As a fan who has seen pretty much every single game of Sanchez's career, I'm pretty confident saying that he's actually had far worse games.

First of all, he didn't turn the ball over. Secondly, there were a number of passes he made that could have been caught, but weren't. The Jets were also in max protect on a number of plays on which the Steelers rushed just 4. That left 7 defenders to blanket 3 receivers and frankly, I didn't see many people open on a number of those plays.

The whole team needs to play much better on Sunday.

+1

PFF actually graded out Sanchez has having a net positive game. While Sanchez did not play particularly well, there is plenty of blame to go around:

- 6 drops by the WRs (2 negated by penalty)
- $21k fine by Timmons seriously affecting Sanchez from that point forward
- Too much Shonn Greene, he's so easy to defend against
- General cluelessness from Cumberland
- Pittsburgh DBs got away with a whole lot of contact downfield, basically taking advantage of the scab refs

Jets need to clean it up...fixable mistakes...but they have to clean it up. And more Powell please.

Bryan Thomas was released, wow.

To replace him the Jets are bringing up CB Donnie Fletcher from the practice squad, giving them another DB with Ellis Lankster hurting.

Sounds like they plan on bringing him back but this could certainly turn out like how the Ravens lost Trevor Pryce to us.
