Sounds like its not as hot as Jets guys mentioned earlier in the week. Loomis says he's had conversations with a few teams, nothing imminent, the other day.

Obviously its something that would get done, if its going to get done, sometime in the next 48 hours or so.

The guy yelling 'OH NO!!!!!!!' before the Commish even gets Roger Vick's name out is still my all time favorite draft moment.

Ok Jet fans. Say we stay at 9 and 13. Who do we take?

9- Tavon Austin
13- Tyler Eifert

That is what I'm saying. I'll be ok with the Austin pick, but it is not my ideal pick.

Tavon Austin at 9, Geno Smith at 13

(I do not think this will happen, as I think we trade down with at least one of these and hope we trade up from our 2nd rounder, but if we keep these 2, thats what I'm hoping for).

For the second time in as many offseasons, New York Jets offensive tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson has restructured his contract to help the Jets free up $5.128 million in cap space.

As a result of the restructure, which is similar to the one that the 2006 first-round pick agreed to last February, Ferguson's cap number has decreased to $5,588,667, a cap savings of $5.128 for the 2013 season. The Jets are currently $12.379 million under their adjusted cap number of $126.528 million for the 2013 season.

Ferguson's cap numbers in 2014 through 2017 will increase by $1.2825 million which figures to lead to further adjustments. Ferguson's cap number the next two seasons will be $11.699 million and will jump to $14.107 million in 2016 and $14.307 million in 2017, the final year of his contract.

The Jets have surrendered their 4th round pick to New Orleans in exchange for RB Chris Ivory. They are working on a long-term extension as we speak per Schefter.

I wonder if that run on RBs before their 3rd round pick solidified the thinking that Ivory had to be the move there. Perhaps they otherwise would have taken someone like Ball or Michael.

Can't wait to see how the Jets handle the boatload of qbs

I know there's a sensible way, but it involves Woody eating a lot of money. And this is a team that gave Sanchez a ridiculous deal to sooth his feelings after they flirted with Peyton and they STILL haven't cut Tebow. So who knows what to expect?
