Wow, the Rams took Stedman Bailey to pair with Tavon with their late 3rd rounder.

That's not the only team reuniting guys from the same positional group. The Pats have taken 2 DBs from Rutgers.

To summarize:

1st - CB Dee Milliner, DT Sheldon Richardson
2nd - QB Geno Smith
3rd - G Brian Winters (played LT in college)
4th - RB Chris Ivory

Hard to complain with that.

Oh dagnabbit re: Bailey.

I would've popped him instead of the "need" small school guard. Value wise think you can find a "solid" guard late easier than a guy who was more productive than some entire TEAMS last year at WR.

No bigger media shill in NY than WFAN Giants reporter Paul Dottino. .

Giants draft an undersized guy? No problem, Dottino says. All the kid needs is some work with the Giants' crack strength and conditioning coaches.

Giants draft a guy with character baggage? No worries for Dottino. The great character guys on the Giants will help the kid get on the right path.

Guy makes Coutinho look negative

I don't listen to Dottino. I listen to Mayock and he liked all three picks.

Also Pugh may have size baggage, particularly in the arms, but versatility on O-Line is a plus. Don't need to rag on picks to rag on Dottino.

Moore pre-combine was a LOCK 1st rounder and some had him top 10. That's a great gamble there.

Quote:
Mental Makeup 1 Have no questions regarding his mental or physical toughness. Not at all afraid to hang in the pocket a split second longer knowing he's going to take a shot in order to buy his WR a necessary split-second longer. Took a pounding against Rutgers in 2012 and kept grinding away to the very end on one-score loss. Is intelligent and can transfer hard work in tape room to live game action on the field. Consistently looks off safety. Knows where to go with ball on hot reads. Shows ability to go through progressions. Frequently see him get to third progression. Shows ability to make quick, smart decisions under pressure but can still improve in that area (some games were better than others in that department).
Accuracy 3 Fastball thrower. Must improve touch and tempo. But he usually shows good ball placement in the short passing game. High percentage of quick slants, hitches and quick outs on the mark and lead receivers' to yards-after-catch. Consistently accurate on intermediate throws. Shows ability to anticipate and hit a spot before WR breaks open. Not as consistently accurate on balls that travel more than 20 yards beyond the line of scrimmage in the air. Can connect when he's on rhythm and gets the ball out on time but does not show the same feel for trajectory and ball placement as he does on intermediate timing throws. However, his overall accuracy on 'pressure drops' is well above average. Can change arm angles when necessary and still make accurate throws.
Release/Arm Strength 3 Gets the ball out with adequate quickness but must improve his release. Cups the ball high and tight to his helmet, which affects consistency on throws that require touch. Puts a lot of zip short and intermediate throws. Can fit the ball into tight spots in intermediate zone and gets good RPMs on the deep out. However, he can struggle to drive the ball vertically. Will need to have great timing on the deep ball in order to compensate in the NFL. Does not appear to be an ideal fit for NFL team in a city with frequent high winds and bad weather.
Pocket Mobility 3 Not a great athlete or running threat but has deceptively quick and functional feet. Pocket presence is adequate-to-good. Occasionally fails to feel blindside pressure. Can also be a bit hyperactive in the pocket at times. But vast majority of the time he feels where the rush is coming from and displays an accurate mental clock. Gets to top of his drop quickly, has natural knee bend and feet don't often get stuck in the mud. Can reset feet quickly after sliding/climbing in the pocket, which allows him to stay on balance as a second-reaction passer.

"I told you I've know this kid since high school. I am so happy for this kid. He's a passionate kid with an edge. He's got some footwork issues, but if you want to talk about a kid with an edge to him who will make his teammates better, this is the kid. He's a tough kid. He lives in the weightroom." -- Mike Mayock
