Schefty says Pats are trading 29. That's gotta be a QB move right? dang.

EDIT: forgot about Keenan Allen who the Jets supposedly like.

Just hope we see some love for the offense today.

Jets pick of Sheldon Richardson Mel Kiper's number 1 headscratcher.

Look for that one to be added to that youtube clip in a few years, Nmig.

Jags and Eagles pick 1 and 3 tomorrow and I expect Barkley and Geno to get gobbled up right there (pending someone trading up of course).

Love the Milliner pick. Meh on Richardson. Seems like the type of guy we could have traded down and taken him. Geno, Barkley, Nassib all still out there? Surprising.

The only thing that the Richardson pick means to me is that the lame duck coach is still the guy in charge of picking the groceries. Sigh

Reflecting, I don't have as much a problem with Milliner. That was just residual disappointment in Austin not being there. But as for talk that Revis was something "scheme-based" with Rex? Yeah, I don't think so - thats 2 first round corners (one a huge bust) in 4 years. That doesn't scream confidence in coach turning mediocre talent into top flight with "scheme."

Richardson just really has me shaking my head. Whats the value there? Good news: Rex thinks he can compete "right away" - because taking a developmental interior tackle should ever be an option at 13 with all your needs! Ugh.

Hopefully they take my 13th pick (Geno) today, which would help some, but still wouldn't mean you got the best value at 13 - there were guys I didn't necessarily want who were still good values there (and how it worked out, still could potentially get the QB in the 2nd round) and addressed major holes - Eifert for one. Missed out on the extra year of control at low salary though if we do snatch one up quickly today.

Brian Costello @BrianCoz
Kiper has Jets taking Nassib in 2nd round

Better than Barkeley, worse than Geno.

From what I heard on B & C this morning, it would be Nassib but only because Geno will have been taken already. Charlie Casserly had the Jets taking Geno b.t.w.

Casserly had the Jets trading down from 13 and grabbing Eifert later and trading back up to get Geno at 32.

Unfortunately for us, Idzik is the GM.

For what it's worth, Bill Polian absolutely loved the Richardson pick.

Reports state the Jets want to trade up to get Geno...likely a smokescreen.

Potential targets:
QB - Geno, Nassib, Barkley (in that order, IMO)
RB - Eddie Lacy (would put the Ivory rumors to rest, unlikely selection)
WR - Justin Hunter, Robert Woods (seems like more of a name player than anything, don't really want him)
TE - Zach Ertz (likely will go #34 to SF)
S - John Cyprien

I'm looking to leave tonight with Geno, a TE and a deal for Chris Ivory.

Do it, Idzik.

Well, the Jags didn't take Geno, but I kinda like Cyprien as a fallback option because I think the Eagles are going to take Geno.

Wow, Niners trade the pick to Tennessee.
