Ross to IR as well

Up comes James from the PS

as for the season, its like the mets; I prefer they stay horrible for the remainder of it

It serves them better, and it has nothing to do with a draft pick as well (although high first rounders in the NFL have a better chance of immediately contributing than in baseball, obviously.)

Im really sick and tired of watching this teams lack of adjustment, to say the least!

still, I want them to obliterate the eagles (even if unlikely, its still divisional)

and I hope I get my wish (my BD was yesterday) and get to see Jackson blow the heck up. I wouldnt mind a couple of cheap shots and penalties that come the giants way. I just want that dude to be taught a lesson, Greg Williams style!

Truly pathetic. 0-5. Total disaster.

hoping this season proves to be one that showcases who should stay and who should go

we need new leadership (players wise)

I believe TC should stay, unless this team does go into a rebuilding mode next year, in which case, he should retire. He doesnt deserve a rebuilding team, hes earned the right to have a competitive team and if thats not what they field in 2014, he should retire, unless he wants to stay, then he should.

this team isnt far off from being competitive again (even if we finish with only 3-4 wins)

My offseason plan is to focus on building one of the best OL in the game. We have seen just how great ELI is when protected (and when hes confident in his OL as well). He shreds a defense. Otherwise, your going to get a scared ELI doing his very best to win balls games by forcing throws into triple coverage.

Bring in an OL coach who can design a scheme that fits our RB Wilson. Hes the type of player who can put up 1500 yard seasons EASILY in the right scheme (I have that much confidence in his ability, in fact, Im underselling his yards).

Bring in a player who can take on 3rd down plays and be that check down option we need. This one should be quite easy; you trade for Pierre Thomas, hes that type of player. Hes also still a capable runner. Id obviously prefer a guy like Sproles or McCluster in this spot but the Giants would rather have a better runner in this position and someone who would be better suited to help block as well, thats Pierre Thomas.

Hire someone to steal Paytons playbook (kidding, sort of  ). A playbook like that can help Eli out TREMENDOUSLY. A hybrid system like that could keep this offense in attack mode all the time and it incorporates using the back as well in the passing game, which will help move the chain and keep the defense on its heels. I believe in Eli and he certainly can run a system like that.

Guys like Tuck and Rolle are done as good players, not sure what kid of cap hit they will be but letting them go this offseason wont be as bad as it sounds.

As for the defense, Id like to see some of the guys playing now (some more) to figure out who to let go and who can have roles in 2014.

Sometimes a pretty good team goes on a roll and wins a championship. The Giants happen to have been that team 2 times in the past several years. Not to diminish their championships, but they never had a great team. The SB wins have created the expectations for the team and the QB that doesn't really jibe with reality. Has Eli ever had a great regular season? No - he's had a few good ones, mostly decent ones, and a few bad ones. As he ages, and is saddled with a declining supporting cast, what you see happening is pretty predictable.
As for the Giants adapting a New Orleans style offense, I just don't see Eli as a fit for that. He's not nearly accurate enough to play that style.

At this point, the Giants goal has to be to get Clowney.

This season has been embarrassing.
