Unfortunately Idzik was still in the huddle when everyone else said..."break!"

I thought MJD was an unusual fit anyway since we have so many bodies there and there's no telling what MJD has left (but for what you'd pay him, you'd have to play him to find out most likely), but thats tells you how they feel about the 3 headed monster (probably more specifically, Goodson, as MJD remains an excellent receiver out of the backfield).

I wouldn't expect them to have any interest in a guy like Blount now who is attracting attention. Maybe a later round pick on a receiving back type, like a Thomas or Seastruck.

DeSean Jackson is released. Lets see how serious Woody was.

FTR, there is a story just released about "troubling gang connections" that happened to come out literally minutes before the Eagles announced his release. Is it real, is a plant, who knows.

you think that adding an animal abuser was just to test to see how far the fans would go? I don't think the jets want to test that limit. they'll pass.

Joe Caporoso @ TurnOnTheJets 3h Somebody is going to sign Jackson. If it is NE/SF/SEA than it is a smart, calculated risk. If the #Jets do, #CIRCUS is back!

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

So let me get this straight...the OWNER of the team exposes them to all sorts of tampering charges by proclaiming their interest in said player but once said player really becomes available they now have NO INTEREST???? Am I understanding this correctly??! I can't take this &$@" anymore. Un effin believable!!!

ESPN New York's Rich Cimini believes the Jets will pursue Chris Johnson when he is released from the Titans.

Cimini does not know if Johnson would accept the committee role he would be given in New York, but he certainly fits the speed back mold the Jets are looking for to complement Chris Ivory. Johnson may be looking for more than a committee role, but that will be all he is likely to find in free agency. The Falcons have also been strongly linked with CJ?K.

I'd like that. Still wish we were in on D-Jax right now, though.

Very strange, I agree. The only thing that makes sense is that he’s asking for more money than they figured (rumor was their camp was asking for a higher AAV than he had with the Eagles)....

But even then it’s strange because the Jets have the most cap space available (maybe as much as 30 mil under as of now).

So I’m guessing either that they did their homework and didn't like what they learned or they decided after the Holmes debacle that maybe they should stay away from another problematic “diva” wideout.

Or maybe it is the financials and MJ is right that Idzik is trying to win the bargain hunter award like Sandy covets.

Jets apparently really wanted Donald Brown and led the chase for him but couldn't close and he goes to SD.

I think chalk this one up under Idziks indecisiveness and frugality saving ourselves from ourselves. Kind of like I hope happens with Jacoby freaking Ford.
