This is the biggest deal here, and can't be minimized.

With the use of these old-school (read: stone handed) fullbacks we like to employ, and the inability to seemingly ever have a reliable tight end receiving option (health, hands, maybe a wayward trip to Boston Market...), the "safety valve" component of the offense has been missing for a while. And with QBs like Sanchez and Geno, that really shouldn't be overlooked. Especially considering Geno's college system, with so many screens and lateral passes and balls put into the flat into space.

Vick isn't the runner he once was and Geno never seems too comfortable taking off with the ball. But they're both more capable than a lot of QBs and having a decent outlet receiver should make it tough on defenders who have to make split-second decisions on what offensive player to commit to stopping.

So what are people's predictions with a week left til the best weekend of the year?

I find it incredible we're actually discussing another CB in the first round, but it seems like thats a legit option. I still say in the end we go Best WR available, but I don't know who thats going to be. Cooks?

Personally, I think the sweet spot for WR value is in the 2nd round. I think I'd prefer a guy like Davante Adams, Amaro, Mathews in the 2nd round, and target a Pryor/Clinton-Dix/Dennard in round 1

I'd love Odell Beckham, Jr. if he's there. I watch a lot of LSU games and the guy is legit. He's been flying up mocks recently so he might not be there. Brandin Cooks is an undersized flyer (by flyer I mean speedster, not someone to take a chance on). People seem to be high on him but I've never seen him play.

If not Beckham, I'd like to see one of the true cover corners - Darqueze Dennard from Michigan State or Kyle Fuller from Va Tech.

One intriguing option, if he's there, is Zack Martin from Notre Dame. Mike Mayock, who, granted, calls all the Notre Dame home games, says he's a starter from Day 1 at any of the 5 offensive line positions. With the Jets problems at guard, I think that's a reasonable pick at #18.

This draft is very deep so I'm not trading up to get Ebron. I would like to trade up into the 3rd round to get 4 picks in the first 3 rounds. I think there's a lot of value there. They're going to have to take a TE at some point. I feel like Jace Amaro won't be there for them in the 2nd round, perhaps Austin Seferian-Jenkins will be.

I think you can find a starting caliber WR in the 2nd/3rd round, if it comes to that. Donte Moncrief from Ole Miss, Cody Latimer from Indiana, Allen Robinson from Penn State, Martavis Bryant from Clemson, Jordan Matthews from Vandy all names to keep an eye on.

Can't wait til Thursday night.

As an ACC football guy id be wary of Bryant.

Dude never got a second look from anyone worth a dang in coverage with Watkins on the other side and had a top flight college thrower and put up pedestrian production. He's got Stephen Hill redux ( physical specimen, bad receiver) written all over him for me.

I was a huge Tavon Austin fan last year so I'm a bit spooked by that to fully endorse Cooks, but if Vick is our guy (and I think he's going to be), it'd be a shame to not have a "go" guy to take advantage of that rocket arm.

Really pleased with the remaking of the offense by Idzik. It's impossible to expect Vick to hold up for an entire season but goodness, he's way better than the slop we've been running out there the last half decade. Chris Johnson isn't what he used to be, and that's okay, and I think it'll do both he and Ivory good to work in a tandem. Decker was a must-needed WR add.

I'd like to see them pop a WR in the draft. Anyone interested in trying to trade up for Mike Evans? Bill Barnwell of Grantland through out the idea in a pure speculation piece the other day. It makes sense given the need and the amount of draft capital the Jets have. Doesn't sound like he's falling past the Bucs at 7.

I'm crazy aggressive in the Tannenbaum mode with trading up early in the draft and saying screw it later on...it didn't work out great for Mistuh T in the end, but I'm always for a trade-up.

Geno is going to be starting at QB, regardless of what you may hear about Vick.

I want OBJ. I wouldn't mind jumping up to pick 14 or so to secure him.

Browns snagged Austin.

Could be a steal if healthy; probably not healthy, though. But he was one of the few guys still out there who *COULD* function as a starter for a team on the outside.

He was pretty bad for the Cowboys last year, even when on the field.
