Sounds like Spiller has a high degree of interest in us. With CJ.8K surely gone, I like this fit with Gailey, who knows how to use CJ (that is, not in a power run game).

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see CJ Spiller and Ryan Fitzpatrick brought in this offseason. Lots of success with Gailey, not much since.

Assuming Fitzpatrick can regain his early Buffalo form, I'd much prefer that to feeling compelled to pick a guy like Sanchez or Geno and declaring him the new franchise QB simply because he was tops or near the top at the position in a given draft.

Kacy Rodgers rumored for DC. Can't say I've heard of him, but Miami's DL is a pretty good unit.

I read on another site that a friend of a friend of a Dolphin fan loves him and thinks he can be a great Defensive Coordinator. FWIW.

Rodgers said to be done deal.

Conversation somewhere on Super Bowl Sunday:

"This guy was actually the New York Jets coach for a year"

"Only a year? That's strange."

"Strange? The other guy was the coach of the Jets for a day"

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

They're both terrific. But I think we should all remember the final minutes of the Super Bowl the next team we start to moan about our own favorite team's clock management/play calling.

Pete Carroll (or whoever called the play that got intercepted) is going to be second-guessed forever for not giving the ball to Marshawn Lynch near the goal line with the game on the line and a timeout in his pocket if the Pats had stopped the Lynch.

But on the other side, Belichick had a 4-point lead, but he allowed the Seahawks to keep running the clock down despite the fact that Seattle was on its way to taking the lead. If the Seahawks had scored, they would have been up 3 and Brady would have had only seconds left to try to lead a comeback.

But then, as often happens even for coaches as brilliant as Belichick is, the players on the field made a play and he was spared the kind of second-guessing he would have gotten if Seattle took the lead with seconds remaining.

Would love Spiller and Jordan Cameron (while retaining Harvin) to give our offense some life.

So Josh McCown goes to the Cleveland to start the QB dominoes. Jets met with him but glad we passed for a second year in a row.

I honestly wouldn't hate a Brian Hoyer/Draft Pick combo this offseason at the Qb position. Hoyer's accuracy is a big no-no but in Gailey's wide open offense, could be mitigated a bit and bring some competency to the position for a year while we develop a rookie.

No thoughts on the moves?? Pretty much have liked everything they have done save a few moves

Re signing Harris was a solid move but paying him that much money wasn't my idea. But honestly he maybe gone next year as a cap casualty. He still was one of the sure tacklers and leaders Of the Jet defense

BMARSH, like grabbing a big bodied WR who attacks the ball and is great in the redzone. Obviously you lose a big play threat in Harvin in relation here. I'd like a speedy WR to balance out the possession WR's though. No idea what the Jets will draft.

Revis, Cro, Skrine, Gilchrist- this makes this defense instantly one of the top units in the league I feel. Already one of the top defensive lines in FB, now you have a complete secondary. Getting Revis back is huge though he's not as dominant. But he's still Revis. Cro has been in the system so it won't be much of an adjustment. Skrine is a good slot guy and you figure Milliner will log lots of time. Gilchrist is a solid safety who can cover, almost a do it all safety. Bowles has run rhe most dime coverages in football last year. Expect tons of 3 safety, 3 corner or 2 safety, 4 corner looks.

Fitz knows the system of Chan and looks like a fall back in case Genk faulters. Good to have a guy who can and knows the system. I still have some faith in Geno. I doubt MM or JM will fall in the draft to 6.

I like the jets bringing in carpenter. He should be a solid offensive line guy as a guard and hopefully replaces Colon who has come back as well. The Jets signed two more guys as depth. Big Mac has created TONS of competition for the line. I expect the Jets to draft a successor to Brick in this draft.

The DLine they got a few guys, Vickerson is a run stuffing guy and may take Douz's role, who I really liked. Bowen maybe just a body. Probably don't expect much out of him to be honest. Jets lost Ellis to the Giants.

Overall I'm loving the aggressiveness in FA....pretty amped for football!
