Most people want to talk about the Jets, but we'll open this to really anything that goes on in the NFL this offseason.

Topics to start us off:
1. Eagles ship McCoy to Buffalo for Alonso - Shady wasn't happy in Philly and now isn't happy about going to Buffalo. Translation: he wants a new contract. Bills will get this done, Rex will talk him up and he'll be good to go in Buffalo Blue coming training camp.

2. Browns signed Josh McCown - Haha!

3. The Jets have a ton of cap room, what should they do? - Good question. Will they be in on a big ticket item such as Suh, Cobb, Julius Thomas, Bulaga, Iupati? Revis if he comes available? I have a feeling the Jets will sign CB Kareem Jackson. Not sure why, but I do. The Jets are bringing in the recently cut Kendall Langford for a visit. He was basically a league average lineman last year. I guess he'd be a decent signing as a depth rotational lineman who played on Rodgers in Miami.

4. NFL Draft - Do the Eagles trade way up to nab Mariota? What do the Jets do? Mariota? Cooper? Scherff? Fowler? Plenty of options.

Just one thing NEEDS to happen this month: Revis.

Mikey Mac can right the biggest wrong in my lifetime.

The Brandon Marshall trade seems too good to be true.

I guess that's what happens when the only two pro teams you care about are the Jets and the Mets, where good news tends to have a short shelf life.

I feel a lot better about the character issues than I would otherwise since Bowles has already coached Marshall.

I guess my only real fear is that the Bears saw something that made them think Marshall is on the verge of a steep decline.

But going by what meets the eye, this is a big upgrade.

By the way, the Marshall trade and re-upping David Harris are a pretty clear indication that MacCagnan isn't keeping the Idzik "plan" of slow building in a league where team records routinely swing from playoffs or playoff contention to the top 10 of the draft.

I still can't, for the life of me, figure out how people justified Idzik's inaction and believed in that plan. Just thankfully Woody got out from under the cover of "fiscal responsibility" or however Idzik justified whatever he did(n't do).

Mikey Mac already off to a much better start with hopefully the biggest move to come tomorrow. Pull off the Revis reunion so he can retire in green, and reverse the biggest front office blunder this side of Blair Thomas.

QB dominoes are falling with Hoyer and Mallet apparently to Houston, which frees up Fitz to come here. I like that - I think Fitz is the best of the trio, personally. Although Hoyer intrigued from afar with his propensity to "win" with little supporting cast around him, I think the accuracy issues would've been magnified with Gailey's system. Fitz has a little moxy, and can hit those short strikes and with the 2 giants on the outside now, just give them a chance to go up and get some balls and we should be good. If Amaro takes a step forward, thats 3 pretty huge targets for a guy with something of a pop-gun arm, which would be a nice mitigation factor.

Take a developmental QB (Hundley or Grayson maybe?) if you don't get Mariota (and I'd probably still start Fitz even if we did and learn from the Sanchize/Geno mistakes), and away we go.

Jets apparently will pursue Fitzpatrick. Solid move I suppose but what if Mariota falls to them? I guess they'd have to draft him either way - to hold or trade.

Revis, Iupati, Fitzpatrick and Spiller/Vereen/Helu and I'll be thrilled.

plus Marshall, and that's all before draft picks… Yes, it could be a good off-season.

Revis to officially hit FA tomorrow. NE declines the option.

Fire up that engine. If Rex were still here, you'd bet he'd be wherever Darrelle is at 4:01 PM tomorrow; hopefully Bowles and Mac take a page from his book. Get that thing DONE.

No mention around these parts about Mistuh T grabbing Suh as the first mega-deal to go down this offseason, eh? T > Idzik, 4life.

Plus one of the safeties, and sounds like we're looking at Cary Williams, Cro and Culliver too (don't know if thats just a Revis backup plan). I'd grab 2 CBs this offseason though. Milliner is in the "anything you get is gravy" territory for me, and Wilson should finally move on. Of the remaining group, there's not a guy I'd like to see in anything but preseason games and hail mary defenses.

I'm guessing the Pats will get this one done. I'd think that legacy might start creeping into Revis's mind by now and being a Pat for a while is certainly going to look better when all is said and done on his career.

His track record to this point has always been to go where the money is.

I also heard one of those "NFL Insider" guys as a guest on WFAN and the guy says the idea of being "The Greatest" in Jets lore intrigues Revis, too. That is, if he gets paid.
