All heck has broken loose:

Saints trade Graham and a 4th for Unger and a 1st.

Ravens trade Ngata to the Lions for ???

Rams trade Bradford to the Eagles for Foles and a pick

Schefter reports sense from NE is Revis will sign with the Jets. Oh boy.

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Sense out of New England is that Darrelle Revis is likely to be a Jet, per sources. NE still will make final push. Not over yet.

Jets expected to sign Skrine too. I wanted 2 CBs so that Milliner drops down to "don't expect much" territory and we move on from Wilson. Skrine and Revis would do that.

Now lets look at Safety, keep an eye on a Roy Helu type, and Fitz pre-draft.

Skrine reportedly gets 4 years, $25M with $13M guaranteed.

Sounds like $6M/yr with $1M signing bonus and first two years guaranteed.

Jets are actually getting Chicago's 7th rounder in the Marshall deal. So it was really just a 2 round trade up for Chicago.

I wonder if that means if the Mariota falls to #6, the Jets will take him and keep him. I can't see the Jets trading the pick for Bradford plus.

I’m sorry, but Buster Skrine is terrible and has proven so over the last four years. There’s a reason that the Browns are letting him walk into free agency. They drafted two CBs last year knowing that they couldn’t get him under contract at a reasonable rate.
Here’s his cornerback grades from ProFootballFocus over that time:

2014 – 194th out of 230
2013 – 194th out of 199
2012 – 164th out of 217
2011 – 139th out of 199

He’s actually gotten worse with better defensive schemers … that’s impressively bad.

Yeah, I'd prefer Spiller but would take Vereen as fallback. A quality 2nd back should be a priority esp since it looks like Powell is on the move.

A couple of beat guys say the Jets have no interest in Spiller. They must think he's too diminished from injuries.

If the Jets sign Revis, they can sign Buster Posey to play corner for all I care.

Rotoworld says Skrine was ranked 82nd, which is fine as long as he's paired with Mr. Revis. And a marked improvement over whoever the hell is even ranked from our secondary last year.

Regardless they still need a competent 2nd corner. Doesn't seem like Skrine is it.
