Rotoworld says Skrine was ranked 82nd, which is fine as long as he's paired with Mr. Revis. And a marked improvement over whoever the hell is even ranked from our secondary last year.

PFF grades are very harsh on penalties. Skrine (pronounced screen, btw) was heavily penalized last year (12 accepted penalties against) and graded out as -6.3 over 1152 snaps. Brandon Browner, considered an effective CB opposite Revis, graded out at -5.0 over just 591 snaps. Browner, of course, had 15 accepted penalties against.

I watched the Colts/Browns game last year in its entirety and Skrine stood out to me (in a good way).

Rich Cimini @RichCimini
Final numbers on Harvin trade: Cost the Jets $7.1M in salary, a 6th-round pick, 8 games, 29 catches, 1 TD. Wasn't a coup. #nyj

And to think - this may have been Idzik's BEST acquisition.

Saw he had 4 picks last year. Which would've been nice in a secondary so lacking ball skills we only had 6 picks as a team last year...

Jets are showing interest in RB Roy Helu, according to a source. #nyj

great fit with Vereen off the board and Powell back (lessening a need to crowd the carries too much with a Spiller type). Really is more of a slot receiver and no huddle specialist and would be a nice outlet for whoever is back there next year - Geno and Mariota come from systems where there were a lot of at or near line of scrimmage passes, we know Gailey emphasizes a similar spread out short pass type offense, and thats Helu's game.

Like this a lot. Worried some we were going to try to utilize the plodding but surehanded Powell into some sort of passing down specialist, which would remind me more of the Richie Anderson days.

Darrelle Revis' agents announce he has agreed to terms with the Jets.

Darrelle Revis was asking teams for $40 million guaranteed. Jets' deal expected to top that. North of $40M guaranteed.
