ESPN reports that he has accepted the Knicks offer.

Not a fan

I would have rather had a coach with good defensive technique

Hopefully, it works out. At least he'll make the games fun

A bunch of reasons to take that job. None have anything to do with basketball.

Knicks should have gone with Mark Jackson.

Good for him.

He took the money.

No one could win with this franchise.

Sure but he is a good coach and gets a lot out of his team. The Knicks will be at least exciting team to watch next year and will be much better coached. They could squeak into the playoffs.

I'm not exactly sure how this move makes sense at all...

How exactly is he going to get Curry and Randolph to run? They barely walk unless they absolutely have to...

Reeks of Dolan. Same old Knicks I guess...

No not really. They will also be making moves. You will an up tempo team and he will utilize the players that come to play.
Walsh has a plan and D'Antoni has a clue.

OK 1st do not lump Randolph with Curry. Very different players. Randolph hustles and for a "bigger guy" he moves up and down the court decently. But look for the Knicks to move Curry and maybe Randolph.

D'Antoni absolutely needs to ship off Curry, who I think is a far inferior player to Randolph in every aspect of the game. I'm with Az, they're completely different ballplayers. The only similarity is their defensive deficiency.

Knicks have two very valuable expiring contracts in Marbury and Rose- if the right player is available, do the deal. By this I mean players that D'Antoni thinks will fit his scheme. No more square pegs into round holes please.

I'd talk to Toronto and see if TJ Ford is available- they need low post offense badly and might take a look at Curry.

Looks like Nate Robinson will stay. Crawford is a good fit for D'Antoni and Q-Rich can go back to his 3 point chucking days in Phoenix.

The biggest thing the Knicks need is an athletic big man with defensive skills who can actually block a shot and a quick point guard who can run the floor.

Calderon is a restricted FA and has said he'll only go back to Toronto if he's guaranteed the starters job. He wouldn't be a bad fit at the point for the Knicks either.
