Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

All I know was they chanted USA when it was even discussed the Knicks were taking an Italian player which I found funny and sad at the same time. There were several chants going on last night. Hard to make it out.

I don't care about basketball but I do feel bad for the poor kid the Knicks drafted. He got treated worse than Donovan McNabb did on draft day.

Anyone with any sense of Knicks history would pass on using the high draft pick on the European dude. Frederic Weiss.

Stupid pick for PR reasons, even if the kid turns out to be the second coming of Bill Bradley. Walsh has had two chances to make moves and he's spurned the fans on both of them. Not a good start.

That's like saying we shouldn't sign a guy like Ichiro or Yu Darvish because of Kaz Matsui. If Gallinari is the number one player on your board you take him no matter if he is white, black, European, Asian, etc.

It's only a stupid pick if he doesn't pan out, if he is the next Nowitzki, Stojakavic, Kukoc, Okur, etc he will be loved. What was Walsh's other move that he made? Hiring D'Antoni? I don't see how you can say it is a bad move already, the guy is a proven winner in the NBA.

Yeah, for a while now they've been playing a fake "Dump Delgado" chant you could tell is phony. The running joke is Carton saying everyone knows it's time for Delgado to go and he say's "on the subway you hear everyone chanting it, people on the streets, at the bodega, in offices" lol, and they play the chant over and over.

So today when talking about Knick fans booing the pick Carton says "And what people at home didn't hear was during the commercial break the fans chanting this" and they que'd the delgado track Lmao-

I was half asleep and that really woke me up as I died laughing with my toothbrush in my mouth.

Wait you're talking about the couple hundred dumb fans that supposedly represents my team's fanbase?

This isn't about PR, let's not get cute. He took the best available player they felt was left on the board.

I disagree.
Two totally different players and situations. The Rooster-- an Italian will be loved in NYC for his ethnicity, his good looks and his basketball play.
Weis would have been a bad pick if he was American. He was simply a stiff.

I think it's bush when talk show hosts call for people's jobs on the radio, knowing they have sway over lots of mindless drones.

To me, the mindless drones are at fault. They should be able to think for themselves. Everyone walking this earth has a brain in which they could use to make decisions. These hosts are easy to ignore or even turn off by just changing the station. I cannot fault them for expressing their opinions as this is what talk radio is about. If you agree or disagree with those opinions (as I often do), you are free to do so.
