Knicks should pursue Anthony Carter/Beno Udrih/Chris Duhon and Kurt Thomas/DeSanga Diop.

The Knicks are ready to offer free agent guard Chris Duhon a two-year deal worth roughly $6 million, according to NBA sources.
"Our backcourt could be a little thin right now," Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni admitted. Duhon averaged a mere 5.8 points on 39% shooting for the Bulls last season, but he is a solid defender and a capable play-maker in a pinch.

The Lakers are strapped financially, but I would like to see the MLE thrown at Posey, Pietrus, or Wells as wings. Maybe even Finley or Barry for their shooting ability. Bigs I'd like are Thomas, Kwame, or Diop. Najera if Turiaf isn't brought back.

Other than that, I don't expect much from the Lakers this offseason. A healthy Bynum may very well be all we need for a Finals championship.

wells is nuts. great talent but can't see him and Kobe sharing the floor.

Diop i read recently, can't remember where, is planning to head back to Dallas.

Posey is a great piece for any team and Boston utilized his talents perfectly. I bet he is looking for a deal more than the MLE and be a starter. He would be a real nice get for the Lakers giving them a front line of Posey, Gasol, and Odom. Actually come to think of it that would be a great spot for him.

If the Knicks can work out some kind of sign and trade (Maybe Crawford and Marbury's contract) to sign Baron Davis and sign Duhon that could go a long way to put us over the top...

Not bad

Davis won't get paid as much this season as he would have in GS but he's got a nice long term deal instead. It worked out well for him. I guess he really wanted to get back to LA.

I guess Livingston is done in LA as well? I wouldn't count on him either if I was the Clippers.

The San Fransisco Chronicle is reporting that in order to sign Baron Davis, the Clippers will first need to renounce their rights to free agent Corey Maggette.
With the Clippers out of the picture, it appears Maggette might have to settle for the $5.8 million mid-level exception. The Celtics have already made Maggette a contract offer, while the Hornets and Magic also loom as possible destinations.

With the Clipps signing Baron, the Maggette situation just got a lot more interesting. If Maggette chooses to hold off on a max contract, he'll be a huge difference maker this off-season.

If he's considering taking the MLE, expect A LOT of teams to show interest. Especially the contenders.

I'm pretty sure the Celtics already offered the MLE.

On the first day of free agency, the Mavericks reportedly reached an agreement with free agent Gerald Green.
Green was the 18th pick of the 2005 draft and has as much raw athleticism as any player in the league. It's believed to be just a one-year contract, with the Mavs hoping he finally figures out how to play in the NBA in his fourth season.
