Yesterday's game versus the Raptors in Toronto was one of the best NBA games I've ever watched.

Vince played like a beast. You have to think he had some extra emotion going into the game and it meant bad things for the Raptors. It's games like these that make you wonder how VC is not an all-time great. He is such a great jump shooter and he showed in the first half of yesterday's game that he can still throw it down in a half court set.

Devin Harris has been a top 5 point guard so far this year and hopefully his play continues. He can get to the rack almost at will. The range and consistency on his shot is improving and will add another weapon to an already impressive skillset.

The Nets are a fun team to watch. The youth brings some hope and VC is playing like he cares. When Vince cares, there are not many who can stop him.

Rod Thorn is one of the best talent evaluators I have seen in any sport.

I was actually at that game last night, crazy night. Vince has always had the talent to be one of the best, but as I've seen first hand he rarely has the drive to do it. If he played against every other team like they were the Raptors he'd be one of the best.

Vince has always been a mystery to me. When he's on, he's one of the greatest offensive players I've ever seen.

Other times, well. The thing is, though, he never looks as if he's dogging it. He just kind of fades into the background.

I also think he's one of those athletes whose game gets impaired when he has a nagging injury.

He's soft. That's just who he is. Always been a great talent, he's just soft and lacks the desire to be one of the best.

Since 2003 VC has played in 73, 77, 79, 82, and 76 games. He makes clutch shots and is never afraid to take the big one. I really don't think he is soft. I think he lacks motivation.

Your right, I should say the "Toronto VC" was soft. Vince has always been a weird guy, he just kind of drifts out there and it looks like at times that he's going through the motions. It's really too bad because he's such a talent; he just doesn't care.

Reading ForzaMets' comments brings to mind one of my co-workers, who is a native of Jamaica who grew up in Toronto.

Now, he is one of the most even-tempered people I know and never speaks ill of anyone. Anyone except Vince Carter, that is.

My guy absolutely detests VC.

It had to have taken some doing, but he managed to alienate the most polite populace of any city I've ever visited.

It's remarkable how good the Nets are for a team in the first year of a roster overhaul.

Devin Harris dropped 47 on the Suns Sunday nights. Nets' first win in Phoenix since 1993. They just got their first win in Sacramento since the 90s the other night.

They're not a bad team.

Devin Harris was unstoppable last night. Steve Nash got burned all night. And then Harris burned Barnes when Nash switched off to guard Bobby Simmons. Devin's jumper was money last night. He hit several 15-18 footers on isolation plays where he pulled up at the elbow. When his jumper is falling he is nearly unstoppable.

Devin is a lot better than I thought. Rod really ripped off the Mavs. Point guard is one of the toughest positions to fill and Devin is a keeper.

The Nets are also better than I thought. They have two excellent scorers who can create their own shots and finish at the rim. The supporting cast is decent enough. Brook Lopez looks to be a good big man. And they can stretch the floor with their 3-point shooting and dribble drive offense. Playoffs and 40+ wins may not be out of the question.
