I am iffy on the pick since I have not been following the Knicks but it seems they may have panicked on Flynn/Rubio/Curry all going before their pick. To me this pick could mean David Lee could be gone because I think they like the prospects of Chandler and Danilo.

They need a PG. Heck they needed a sharp shooter. One wonders if they will trade up or at least trade Lee in a package for an established PG.

I am not so surprised about Terence Williams. I like the pick since I was never enthralled with Yi Jianlian. I like a lot of the Louisville guys.

Also, color me surprised Hansbrough went over the likes of Jrue Holliday, Chase Budinger, Ty Lawson, and Earl Clark. Especially considering they have ignored their guard position for a good decade despite the different regimes there.

I think they keep Lee but they have leverage now if he's gone. In 8 seconds or less the role of the Center is "finisher' which is why Amare played that role.. Hill is just that and is athletic enough to thrive in this system...of course he'd need the running PG to do that...which we didn't draft..

They needed everything really, in fact at PG Duhon wasn't terrible early on...When you're in that situation I think you go with upside more than position so I'm ok with Hill. (I was literally cringing looking at David Stern expecting him to sat Gerald Henderson..ugh)..

I was surprised too. I thought they'd take Holliday.

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

I think the Knicks made a good pick. Hill has a lot of talent and upside. Boom or bust here. I only watched him twice or so and while he did not really stand out, I saw definite flashes. Good value pick and allows the team to be flexible with Lee.

I'm excited.

What would the T'Wolves want for Rubio? It does sound like the purpose of getting him was to trade him off.

i just struggle with how the knicks could match up. They need young talent and the 1 position the knicks can offer PF the wolves don't need. Maybe the knicks could work a sign and trade for Lee but the team would have to be a contender looking for PF help that has young talent and/or picks to send to the T'Wolves.

Watching on dvr so hopefully there is a trade but if not I HATE the hill pick all you did was replace Lee. Yuck. Still no PG for an offense that is dictated by PG play. Should have drafted augustin like I said last year

Hill could play along with Lee no problem. I think Hill was the a top 3 to 5 pick this year. He can do it all and will thrive under D'Antoni.

He is already better than most. On the low side he is a double digit scorer and rebounder on the high side he is an all-star.
