There's a UConn reunion in Auburn Hills. Even without a coach it looks like the Pistons are reloaded getting Ben Gordon and Charlie Villenueva.

Supposedly LeBron is courting Artest like mad to get him to come to the Cavs. That would be a bigger blow to the Rockets with all these Yao revelations. It seems like they are rebuilding since there is a rumor they are shopping McGrady and the Sixers are interested.

The Warriors if they wanted Amare Stoudemire supposedly were not supposed to draft Stephon Curry in order for a deal to work out. I think Steve Kerr if not for the rings as player and not playing in the Phoenix market would probably have a head on a swivel by now for the moves he has been doing. Amare does not want to go to Alameda County, btw.

While Jason Kidd to the Knicks has made some noise his agent has had contact with the Cavs. Now if this were 1999 it would be amazing to watch the Cavs, but not now.

Spurs interested in Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess.

On the Pistons head coach front (Minnesota's a lost cause), I cannot believe Doug Collins is even being mentioned though he has not been contacted. It is either Avery Johnson or Bill Laimbeer. I think at this point Avery is the right choice as if they hired Laimbeer he would fit better with a younger, less experienced team.

Zach Randolph got traded to the Grizzlies for ex-'mate on the Knicks Quentin Richardson who was swapped for Darko Milicic. Quentin was also on the Clippers prior. Mad world.

Trevor Ariza is apparently close to a deal with Cleveland.

Knicks sign and trade Lee and jeffries with Houston for McGrady. Let T-Mac walk at the end of next year and an added 20m under the cap!

Toronto is supposedly really keen on Lee. Colangelo is their GM. Wonder if there is a swap that D'Antoni will take a like to players on Toronto's roster. Hint, hint, Shawn Marion.

Turkoglu is also connected to the Raptors and Blazers (Don't they have Rudy Fernandez?).

Grant Hill after a face to face meeting with Steve Kerr is getting a recruiting video from Walsh/D'Antoni. One would think that would be the end of Lee.

Unlikely Ron Artest remains a Rocket. He could head to the Cavs, who as I posted before are also in on Ariza, or go to the Lakers which would be interesting to say the least. Kobe would go from having an antagonist to sidekick a la MJ with Rodman.

So essentially, Artest and Ariza swap addresses.

Spurs, Cavs, and Celtics all in Rasheed Wallace sweepstakes.

Kidd is staying in Dallas but the Sixers made a late push. Given that Eddie Jordan coaches there now and Ed Stefanski is the GM, hardly surprising.

Grizzlies offered David Lee a ridiculous multi-year deal.

it would be 7 million less under the cap ... cause we'd essentially just be dumping jeffries 7 million salary for 2010/11

i think the idea is good but i would want more for Lee ...

Lee + Curry for Mcgrady and a 1st round pick

by trading Curry we'd save 11 million for 2010/11
and the 1st round pick would be in the 15-20 range which would be pretty good spot

and i think Curry and Lee would match up better salary wise with McGrady (23 million) than Lee and Jeffries

Hedo signed with the Blazers. It could mean Rudy Fernandez wanting a trade out of there. Given enough playing time I think Rudy could be electrifying but the Blazers will likely want a king's ransom and it is not like an overstock at a position have stopped these Blazers before.

I must say I think the Magic have completely miscalculated the diagnosis for their team. Hedo > Vince and you lose Courtney Lee. They are beating that Jameer stays healthy and same deal with Vince.

Hedo is Toronto bound.

I disagree. Hedo was a good fit for the Magic, but Vince may be a better one. The Magic ran a lot of pick and roll with Hedo and Dwight and tried to stretch the defense with 3-point shooters. They still can do this except with VC instead of Hedo. And if anything I believe that is an upgrade.

As for losing Courtney Lee, yes that will hurt them, but I am guessing their hope is Pietrus can remain healthy and play stopper. If he can stay on the court, Pietrus may actually be a better defender than CLee and has a good 3-point shot.

A starting 5 of Jameer, VC, Pietrus, Lewis, and Dwight is very solid. They still have holes on their bench which will really determine how good they can be, but I think they may have about the same record as last year.

Stop the presses Hedo is going to Toronto because his wife considers Toronto > Portland. In the end I think it works well for both teams. Rudy Fernandez hopefully will not act so jaded now and Hedo is a good fit in Toronto.

I'd do Lee and Currry for McGrady and a 1st rounder. Throw in the old Cash Considerations as well. With Yao out and artest gone, I think the Rockste would not give up a first rounder beacuse IMO they would be lottery bound. But hey maybe the knicks catch a break!

I think that would be the only way to give up Lee. He is one of the few bright spots on a team and I think players will be more likely to come if he is here than if he is not.
