Awful.
You would think a team that competed last year + a few upgrades would be competitive this year.
Ooohhhh quite the opposite.
It's really been horrible.
It's been so bad I'm actually gonna write to the Knicks tomorrow asking for something back (anything at this point) because I paid about $400 or more on a 11 game plan and I honestly feel robbed. If it worked for that guy and the oregon vs. boise state game, it doesn't hurt try.

Maybe watching the Pacers isn't that bad after all.

There were 0 upgrades...

Not blaming them either as Boozer's a nice player and all but the big FA class as we all know is next year and we couldn't afford to ruin the cap situation we helped by dealing Zack and Craw...

What a nightmare this decade has been...

Camby's sister's ex holds her and the family hostage one day and......

just a big blur this decade became...An acid trip really...

Camby misses 2 games and Toronto knocks them out...then..

Something about McDyess's knee in his first pre-season game...

Fredo Dolan playing the guitar..

Ughhh, is Luc Longley wearing a Knick uniform, now that's a hallucinating thought..Is that real?? Get it out of your head!!

Harlem Globetrotter-esque excitement with Eisley, Shandon and Spoon..

Starbury, Eddie C, Zeke and a woman named Anucha...

SOS or SSOL..whatever..

Now there's no 1st rounder in a disastrous season and fans are hoping for FA's to revive the dead team..

I was never as down than during the Mets '03 season but this is clearly worse.. Can LJ save us?

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

I've come to terms with the fact that LJ isn't coming. Why would he want to come? He has more of a chance winning in Cleveland than New York. In fact, the bigger question is, who would want to come here? Bosh? Would Bosh want to leave Toronto that badly?

Brandon Jennings pouring in 55 is like pouring salt in the wound

He most likely comes back down to earth ... but he might have been our point guard of the future

Anyone who preaches "blow it up and start over" in the abstract should remember that this is the reality when that statement is put into practice.

I was thinking the other day that there's also an unintended consequence to all this.

By clearing the cap room to make it possible to sign a superstar FA, you make the roster so unattractive that he might not want to come for any amount of money.

Remember though that Orlando was thisclose to accomplishing something unbelievable a few years back when they cleared out everyone for cap space.

They pretty much had Tim Duncan, Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill signed when David Robinson made a last second call to Duncan expressing that he wanted to win a couple more titles then call it quits. Those three together should Hill have stayed healthy would have undoubtedly competed for titles and probably won a couple the past 7-8 years.

Orlando had a worse assemblage of talent believe it or not but it didn't matter as they were all about to become FA's and open the door for star talent. Ironically, the one talent they did have under contract was a then underrated Ben Wallace who was shipped to Detriot for Hill in a sign and trade.

This was the one (and only) example that swayed my thinking towards buiding a championship team via Free Agency. If Orlando attracted those three, couldn't NY?? Now the Knicks cannot sign 2 max players much less three this off-season but they are on their way with a huge class coming the year(s) after including Cris Paul and Dwight Howard.

Sure it didn't work for Orlando but again they were thisclose to possibly a dynasty...

If not for that near hit by Orlando I'd agree 100%..

Don't sleep on Hill. I think he will be a good player, they just don't give him any minutes. But when he's played he has looked good. I think right now they are trying to showcase the veterans for possible trades in order to try and clear Curry and/or Jeffries for 2010.

And now we're 3-9. Tough road up ahead though the next 8 games-Celtics, Lakers, Kings, Nuggets, Magic, Suns, Magic, Hawks. We could possibly lose all 8, although hopefully we can beat the Kings minus Kevin Martin.
