i sort of have this uneasy feeling about this trade

T-Mac has done nothing this year so far ...and we wouldn't want him beyond this year so he's just a short term rental for a team thats going nowhere

so essentially the trade boils down to Hill + a 1st round pick for the rights to dump jeffries 6 million next year

that just doesn't sound like a fair deal...

i'm just surprised that we can't dump jeffries without losing hill and a 1st round pick

It's impossible to sign 2 max free agents AND Lee.

Not the way I understand it (which is probably very wrong).

You sign 2 max first, then sign your own, and you can exceed the cap, right?

Nope. It only works that way if you're already over the cap. If you're under you can't go over and then re-sign your player in the same offseason.

According to Knicks beat writer Alan Hahn the Knicks are very close to sending Nate Robinson to the Celtics but the teams are looking for a third club to complete the deal.
Robinson's contract is apparently the issue but things look to be very close. The Knicks are also expected to get a draft pick out of this deal which is a bonus. The guard will probably be out of New York by the end of the day

Nate as good as gone I think- if he doesnt help the Celts he can always suit up as the mascot

If the Knicks can convert Nate into a draft pick I'm all for it.

Everyone will like this trade next year when Bosh and Lebron are on the Knicks.

Nate leaving NYC is a dream come true

Bringing T-Mac to NYC and jettisoning Jared Jeffries in the process? I think I soiled myself 8) I hope this T-Mac trade happens.

Why the hate for Nate? I don't get it and never have.

He's a good bench option.

He's way overrated because he's a freak athlete. He's a defensive liability, and he makes some pretty poor decisions on the offensive side. He's too small to be a true SG and he lacks the court vision / passing skills to be a true PG.

He's a good change of pace player, but at this point I'd rather take my chances with a second round pick than keep Nate. He's not staying in NY after this season anyway.

Oh, I agree, I'd take a 2nd rounder for Nate.
