ESPN used to be pretty good. Now it's basically TMZ.

It's kind of like MTV or any of the cable news networks. You can say it sucks now, but they make more money than ever. Unfortunately, cable television companies are in the business of making money rather than providing any kind of real service. I've stopped hemming and hawing about how things used to be better on television because I think, in the end, the dinosaurs will die.

Jim Grey is an embarrassment. This whole thing is a total debacle.

I am now stupider for watching this nonsense.

So much for making the announcement in the first 10 minutes of the show.

No state income tax is a huge deal. Texas and Florida sports teams benefit greatly from it.

Conversely, NY teams get hurt by it(though most players take up residences elsewhere to mitigate these things). Toronto has it the worst due to exchange rates.

Tom, nice to see you. Have you stopped being a Mets fan? Never see you in the other forum.

Yeah, you too.

I post there sometimes. Still a Mets fan. Actually enjoying the team a hell of a lot more this year than the past few. Not watching as many games though. I don't get them on TV where I am.

My post was sarcastic. We knew he was joining Miami since this afternoon.

I think you get taxed based on where you physically play... so lebron i think will not get taxed for 50% of his games, but will when he plays in a state/city with an income tax.

Is that really the case? I still get the state of Illinois dipping into my pocket even if I go on a business trip to Florida.

Yeah, just googled it...
