Ehhh. Do not really like Outlaw. Decent shooter and scorer with length, but that is about it. I would rather start Damion James.

And we signed him for 5 years? I really do not like that. In a year or two we will probably be trying to find a team willing to take him in a trade.

Looks like its the lottery again for us and that is not so bad.

I am really interested with these signings of so many role players. There's got to be something to it. eg TRADE

The good thing for the Nets is that their best players are young enough that they can afford a couple of years of rebuilding.

The most important move for Prokhorov now will to find the right GM to oversee the rebuilding.

Pritchard would be an excellent hire. There were rumblings and grumblings that he was not the easiest guy to get along with, but he knows how to assemble talent.

Presti of the Thunder would be fantastic as well.

Pritchard was an Othello surrounded by a lot of Iagos from what I heard. But he did go out of his way to credit people around him. Paul Allen seemed to be Iago #1.

The Nets have signed Anthony Morrow to an offer sheet. The Warriors have 7 days to match, let him go to the Nets, or work out a sign and trade.

They have also agreed to terms with Johan Petro.

The Morrow sign is a great deal. He is one of the best shooters in the NBA. It should really help space the floor. A very, very good signing.

Petro is just a body. Zoubek has looked pretty bad during summer league, so Petro could end up being our backup center. I don't really like it, but he is Young and can maybe contribute something.

The Warriors will almost assuredly match the contract, no? 3 year, 12 million seems small for someone who hits 3s at a 46% clip.

One would think. However, Woj from Yahoo is saying that they won't. Others believe he may not have signed the tender yet, and the Nets and Warriors will work out a deal. The Nets have a couple protected picks of the Warriors in the upcoming drafts, so we may one back or change the protection in a favorable way for the Warriors.

The Warriors are supposed to be cash strapped and right at the luxury tax threshold. Maybe they let Morrow walk.

We gave up pretty much nothing to sign Morrow in a sign and trade. We have officially traded next year's second round pick, but picks 31-55 are protected. So if we are one of the best 5 teams then the Warriors will receive our second round pick.

Talk that the Nets may sign Louis Amundson of the Suns. I would be very happy to get him. He is a great energy player and has a sweet pony tail. I have been after him for a while and I think he can be a very effective player for a winning team.

Pritchard is not one of the finalists for the GM job. A little disappointed but I guess he thought there were better job openings to wait for, or he just wanted to stay West Coast. Danny Ferry and Billy King are the finalists. I would much prefer Ferry even though I thought he did a so-so job in Cleveland. He, like Avery, is a Spurs/Poppovich disciple and they would seemingly be more simpatico. I don't think Billy King was that good of a GM.
