Well then I am glad he is not the coach! Turiaf is a great guy off the bench but only soso as a starter.

I dunno. He's looking good.

Douglas has a huge opportunity. Do you think he'll step up?

There's gonna be no Earl Barron or Jared Jeffries stepping into the slot he could get. Either players will play out of position or he slots in to PG almost half the time.

I like Turiaf in spots and is a valuable piece but is only good for about 20 minutes.

I love Douglas but still think he needs to work on his distributing skills.

Douglas is NOT a PG. He can be the backup SG. But in my opinion, we need to sign Ford or give Anthony Carter some burn.

We also need to play Shelden Williams. We were getting crushed on the boards and Williams, who is a great rebounder, is just sitting there.

They legitimately won that game vs heat. No more just hoping we can squeak by and happen to be up by 1 when the clock strikes 0.

Great game. Love the block and the King James whine instead of playing.

It seems from a distance to me that Amare is doing what some others
have not done whether they've played for the knicks, mets, or other NY teams--embracing the challenge of playing in the Big Apple

I don't think I've jumped and screamed like that a at a play in a sporting event in at least five years or so. And I was alone!

I missed real NBA basketball.

On a side note I hate the fact they are buying out Brewer he is long and a good defender. I guess D'Antoni doesn't see anything in him. I mean why is Mason Jr on the roster?

considering that we cleared so much cap space

getting two star players is not that tough a trick

the question is whether we got the right star players that will lead to a championship.

and forming a team around those star players that compliment them is also a critical task

i question whether we got the right star players to lead us to a championship

and i don't think the team that surrounds them is that good or compliments them well

brewer asked to be released. The knicks weren't going to use him as much as other teams, so he wanted a shot with someone else.

Getting two star players seems a pretty good trick to me, considering there's only 2 or 3 teams in the league that have done so. There's tons of teams that clear cap space and get zero star players to come. Also, don't sleep on how great of a player Chauncey Billups still is, he's a massive upgrade on Felton if you plan on going far in the playoffs.

And you can't judge the team that surrounds them just yet. We need an offseason to now use our MLE and our 1st rounder to get 2 or 3 more assets to surround Melo, Amare and Billups.
