Certainly, nothing is proven on someone's first day on the job, but new Nets GM Sean Marks made a good impression in his interviews.
He was 1,000 times more at ease with the questions than John Idzik ever was.
If the owner can show true patience and still be willing to write checks when needed, the Nets have a much better chance than at any time since Rod Thorn traded for Jason Kidd.

Marks with good marks so far...grabbing Sean Kilpatrick off D-League and signing him to a deal is a great look. Nets won't be drafting high anytime soon so it's imperative they scour the DLeague, overseas, 2nd round pick avenue...
Kilpatrick could be a 15 poiint scorer for the Nets....always liked his game at Cincy

Remember Met fans, every trade is different and independent from the rest. TIS...Trust in Sandy!
Normally I'd say a pick in that range was fair, but in this draft I dunno...
Evan Roberts was hoping for a top 10 pick which was a bit too high IMO but I thought 12-16 range could be doable.
Hoping for a Lin signing (we know the background there with KA) and some success because (as I've stated before) I loathe the idea of Boston gaining high picks while having a good up and coming squad.

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:
"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."
But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?
