Should be a great series. Considering the way that these two teams play I definitely see it going at least 6 and probably 7. I just hope it gets good coverage in the metropolitan area. It's a shame that hockey is not more popular then it currently is. It definitely should be, and I don't understand why it is not.

I really wish I was in the NYC area for the series. I honestly think it is the biggest hockey moment in the area since '94, even trumping the Devils' cups.

Easily trumping the Devils cups... Not diminishing the Devils accomplishments but they are truly a NJ team.
New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has acquired forward Rick Nash, defenseman Steven Delisle and a conditional third round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft from Columbus in exchange for forwards Artem Anisimov and Brandon Dubinsky, defenseman Tim Erixon and a first round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Like the trade. On paper, when healthy a top 6 of Nash, Richards, Gaborik, Kreider, Stepan, and Callahan is very good. The make up of the team has changed though.
Have to give credit to Sather. He really has done a nice job the past few years. Never thought I would have said that several years ago.
Good trade for the Rangers. I think Erixon will be a really solid player, but you don't think twice about giving him up when you have guys like Staal, Girardi, McDonagh and Del Zotto in your top four and a prospect like McIlrath waiting in the wings. It took long enough, but Sather has really put a nice system together, especially with these defensemen. No doubt about it.
Anisimov is a nice player, but replaceable.
Columbus takes back the Dubinsky contract, getting them closer to the salary floor. They still need to spend $1.22M to reach it. Can't believe he's tagged with a $4.2M cap hit...
The first round pick is obviously an expected piece in a trade like this.

Well said.
They also have Sauer who is very good. Hopefully he can recover from his concussion.
