I guess I ranted.

The Ducks are one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NHL.

They have a great combination of young stars and veteran leadership, skill and toughness, and speed and strength.

They certainly deserved their names written on the Cup. Also, the only Duck (player or coach) to have won the Stanley Cup before tonight was Scott Niedermayer.

Okay, here's the thing. I was thinking about this "worst possible outcome" thing. But the truth of the matter is that stanley cups going to untraditial markets might actually be good for the sport in the long run. It has actually raised interest in Carolina and Tampa Bay afterall...

Besides, here's the thing, the product is great right now, the problem is that the presentation and the marketing is terrible. That's a MUCH bigger issue than who wins the Cup.

Also, I'm glad to see fellow Hamilton alum Guy Hebert's old team finally win a cup. :)

First of all they are from Anaheim with a fan base that is really ignorant towards what the sport truly is... mark 1...

thankfully the Cup will not be tainted with the word "Mighty" next to the Stanley Cup Champ.... Captaincies or not it is an outrage lil Robbie got to hold the cup before Teemu.

The true Mickey Mouse team... the freakin Sun Belt states for a third year tatoo and slander the sport with their names upon the cup...

Thank God the Michelin tire man did not steal another Conn Smythe...

Bettman makes the NHL look like a joke yet again.

Seriously it belongs in Canada... end argument.. SoCal have you seriously ever visited that region of the county for any length of time... during Game 1 they interviewed Cuba "expletive" Jr. about why it is good for the Cup being in the land of make- believe... kinda gross.

Bettman does consistently make the NHL look like a joke, but I don't get what the Ducks winnign the cup has to do with it. What was he supposed to do? Fix it for the Senators? :?

Is that compared to all the kids in Jersey who learn to skate practically before they can walk?

umm I take it you never played hockey kind sir... because yes indeed hockey is a major sport in the Garden State... it is played in both private and public high schools... and it is not in California... I grew up playing both ice, roller, and street hockey... my neighborhoods have always been teeming with the sport... maybe you live in the cities of NJ but in the suburbs hockey is played with as much regularity as basketball...

different generation I suppose.
