Not sure how to evaluate this.

definitely strange. Would've rather just spent a little more to keep Rafalski or Gomez

Reportedly 6 years, $20.4 M.

That's very reasonable, IMO. I'm starting to like this signing after giving it some thought and finding out the value.

Looks like you also signed Rachunek. Good luck with that.

Did you really think we could've kept Gomez? I think we should've stepped more on Rafalski too but he had nothing else to prove here and he wanted to play for his hometown team.

I just hope Lou's going to try and get Sheldon Souray aka Mary's business partner.

I'm still somewhat luke-warm on the Zubrus signing. He is a skill player locked up at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, he never plays a full season.

As for Rachunek, he is a young defenseman with some offensive ability. Of course, I can recall him turning the puck over a few times in his own end last season...

IN LOU WE TRUST!

Top 6 forwards - Elias, Gionta, Zubrus, Zajac, Parise, Langenbrunner
Checking line - Madden, Pandolfo, Brylin
4th line - Clarkson, Janssen, Rupp, Pelley

Defense - White, Martin, Matvichuk, Greene, Oduya, Rachunek, Fraser, Corrente

Brodeur, ???

Oh, they're making the playoffs...

Of course they're making the playoffs, no chance of getting past the second round, but they're making them...

Supposedly we are close to signing Souray. Also we're connected to Mattias Ohlund and Brendan Morrison.

They signed Kevin Weekes to backup Brodeur - 2 years, $1.375 M.
Pretty good signing. They need to cut Brodeur's workload down by a few games and they didn't have confidence in Clemmer.

I've heard the Souray rumor, as well as the Elias to Vancouver thing.

I wouldn't deal Elias, but signing Souray has me intrigued. He would instantly make the PP that much better and is a much needed physical presence to go with White on defense. I have no idea how Lou can afford him though, might have to trade Elias I guess.

Taking money into account, this is a better signing then either the Drury, Gomez or Brier signings.
