11-1-0.

Are they really this good? Or will they slow down at some point? Has anybody watched a number of their games?

I have watched 3 of their games, including their only loss against my Hurricanes, and they are really this good. They will go into a funk at some point, every team does, but they are the best in the East and possibly all of Hockey.

Buffalo was this hot at the start of last season.

The NHL will catch up to the Sens soon.

I haven't watched them yet but on paper they are that good. They have three legit defensive pairings and four lines with great speed and balance. I think they are for real, but like any team they have to be careful of injuries.

They are a fun team to watch thats for sure.

The Capitals beat them tonight 4-1, preventing them from becoming the first team to ever win 14 of 15 to start a season.

I very much doubt that. Yes, anything can happen with injuries or during a playoff series, but they are definately the best team in the East and the only team that is even close is Carolina.

I tend to agree with Robot Devil. It's far too early to be crowning them. These types of hot starts seem to tend to have a way to end and see the team fall at least, somewhat, back to the pack in hockey.

Not to take anything away from them, they're a great team but I'm not yet convinced they're the Gretzky/Messier Oilers...

All I want for Christman is Foligno in a Binghamton Sens jersey.

Bump...

Well, the NHL *has* caught up with them. They're winless in their last 5 and look absolutely horrible right now against my Rangers, already down 3-0 in the first period.

How do they look now? The Rangers are as good as anyone in the league.

They looked like the lesser team in this game.

There are ebbs and flows throughout the year, and this is no different. The Sens are, IMO, still the best in the East.
Does that mean they will win the cup? Nope..
Does that mean that they won't go through a cold streak, especially with injuries? Nope..
What it means is that they are the most complete team in the East and should end with the best record overall.

Once the playoffs start, anything can happen and we all know this.

With their goaltending situation I really don't see them as the best team in the East. Gerber's come back down to earth after his torrid start and has looked very shaky lately to say the least. Emery shows flashes here and there but lacks consistency. I'm not saying they're not one of the elite teams in the league - but I would be really surprised if they made a return to the Cup Finals.

Btw, nice win last night by Carolina. Honestly, that was the worst game the Rangers have played in over a month but I won't take any credit away from your team. This season kinda has the same feel that the one a couple of seasons ago did when the Rangers, Sens and Canes were all atop their divisions (no need to be reminded of how the season ended, thanks).
