Is anybody watching this series? Unbelievable game. First, Talbot with the goal with 34 seconds left in regulation to tie it. Then 3 OTs later, Sykora scores after telling Pierre McGuire he would score the GW'er to force a Game 6. MAF played out of his mind - 55 saves and pretty much stole a game that was dominated by the Wings by for the majority of the game. Game 6 goes back to Pittsburgh on Wed, where the Pens have only lost once.

Great game, I'm glad Oliver Perez didn't make my decision of what game to watch last night too difficult.

This will go 7 games.

Last night was also another glaring example of why the NHL is a far superior sport to the NBA. I really wish people would give hockey a shot, since the league's problems seem be to rooted in the bad PR that stemmed from the lockout and a general distrust of Canadians (!)...

My roommate was openly excited for the game after watching Game 3 and 4, and he's only a few months removed from one of those "hockey is worse than NASCAR" rants...

I am rooting for the Wings because I like Osgood, McCarty, and I am rooting for Rafalski and I have never been a Sykora fan. Talk about a string of luck. The biggest goat on the ice who looked so bad throughout the entire game not only has the audacity to call his shot but gets the GW goal. The Pens were lucky. Crosby was not impressive joining Malking, Tabolt stepped up in so many ways, Hossa was pretty good, and all I can think on Malone is that his nose after getting nailed with the puck resembled Karl Malden's schnozz. The goal taken away from the Wings looked undet the cross-bar, Doc also thought it did too so I am not alone, and the wings just got overly frantic around the net. Holmstrom didn't realize how much space and time he had on that one goal. Hudler had no idea what he was doing some of the time either. Great game. MAF saved them when it mattered most. As mentioned, it was good to watch the entire game on EST while missing entirely a horrible drubbing Ollie took on PT.

MAF made about a zillion game-saving saves in the OT.

It's hard to call a team "lucky" when their goalie makes over 50 saves and is plagued by injuries in a game that goes 3 OT's...

Not only that, it was the second lead on Sportscenter last night. I can't remember the last time an NHL regular season game in Nov got that kind of love. Unbelievable game.
