Thank goodness.

Hopefully this plants a big old seed of doubt in the young Penguins mind and things like Malkin's disappearing act cause major rifts in their clubhouse next year (as opposed to being a jumping off point like that first finals loss for the old Oilers).

A good finals for the NHL overall though.

Also, that last gasp shot was about as close as you can get without going in.

And big ups to Nick Lidstrom.

Hoss is gonna cash in big time this offseason. Outside of MAF, he was by far the best Penguin in this series. I would think that 2 out of Hossa, Malone and Orpik will be gone next year with Crosby, Malkin and Fleury due for paydays in the coming years. Either way good run by Pittsburgh, but there's no question that Detroit was the best team all season.

props to the wings. that last second sequence by the pens was incredible. Is it just me, or did Osgood come off a bit as an elitist tool during his postgame interview on the ice? Somehow, I doubt this will be the last time we see the pens in the finals in teh coming years...

Great, great last 3 games of the series.

Sad the Penguins lost, but lots of excitement to go around...

After the Penguins got over the wow factor of playing in the cup they made it a great series.
Does anyone know if the ratings reflect it?

I know that one of the games beat one of the NBA conference finals games when matched head-to-head, which was thought of as a pretty big deal when it happened...

I am not sure what the Pens fans were booing. If they were booing Bettman than it was still rude no matter how much of s@#$ty commissioner he happens to be. He has to be out there to present the cup. If they were trying to drone out the cheers from Red Wings fans than that was bush. They won fair and square. It does not have to be their prerogative to stay there the whole ceremony just because it is in their building. It was as if some of their fans wanted to ruin the whole cup ceremony by booing.

Anyways, Zetterberg completely deserved the Conn Smythe, if Osgood didn't allow that goal to tie in Game 5 it might have been his for the taking. Lidstrom proved why they might as well name the Norris Trophy after him. Crosby and Malkin both need to toughen up. The ending to last night's game was insane. Even my mother was into it and she hates hockey.
