Staal vs Staal will be fun to watch.

If you listen closely you can hear Cindy whining already.

GO CANES!!!

No, that's just the sound of 25% more Carolina fans filling up the seats that were empty during the regular season. :D

Considering Pittsburgh only averaged 221 more fans per game then the Canes, I would say 25% is a bit of a stretch. I think you are mistaking the Canes for the Devils.

Carolina - 88.5% capacity, 22nd in NHL

Pittsburgh - 102.6%, 5th in NHL

I should have said 11.5% more fans then. That's a lot of empty seats really - especially for such a good team.

Devils were at 89.% by the way. Pretty lousy, but that happens when you have too many teams in the same market.

Fortunately for the Canes, being down 2-0 means very little. This was an exciting game tonight. I'll miss Game 3 due to other plans on Saturday, but I bet it'll be another good one. I don't think there has been one bad game the entire playoffs. There is nothing like it.

Geno, Geno, Geno!!!

Geno was sick last night.

I wil be going to game 4, with any luck it will be for a chance to even up the series.

I guess Carolina's arena is too big and Pittsburgh's too small. It really isn't 11.5% more fans, it's fans to capacity.

Using round numbers: 300 divided by 17,000 is only 1.5% more fans.

...or the last game of their season.

I missed the game tonight, but it was checking a lot on my Blackberry. Looked like another crazy one.

If Malkin and Crosby can stay hot together the Penguins just might have 5 wins left in them this season. This is the most insane stretch of hockey those two have played together.

Yep, not exactly what I was looking forward to.

Lets Go Canes, at least win tonight and show some fight.

Crosby/ Malkin remind me of the Francis/ Lemieux pair of the early 90's.
Wow, just Wow!!!

Well Softy, there is always next year...maybe.

Penguins are just steamrolling now. Anything can happen from series to series, but they're looking crazy tough now. Should be a fun re-match in the finals.

Detroit scares me just because they're Detroit and they clowned the Pens last year. Hopefully Pittsburgh can keep up with them because in 2008 it just seemed like the old guys were in better condition than the "young and fit" Penguins. Here's hoping!

I like their odds if they continue to score 5 goals a game (and can score on silly lobs to the goal).
