Anyone looking forward to this year?

New coach...will it be any better than last year?

Game one in an hour or so...lets see if the power play doesn't totally suck this year

Not quite the start that they hoped for.

Could be a rough start with a long road trip

I don't have much free time and pretty much lurk on these boards when I can. However, I felt obligated to help you out here, haha. I definitely see a tough start to the season due to the combination of injuries, getting familiar with AV's new system, and the road trip in which they have to play games against strong Western conference teams. The problem with their team is that they are not skilled enough (think the Pens) nor are they tough enough (think the Bruins). Their top 6 forwards when healthy are Nash, Stepan, Cally, Hags, Richards, and Brassard. Their bottom 6 forwards include guys like Boyle, Dorsett, Pyatt, and D. Moore. Throw in guys like Zucc, JT Miller, and Fast rounding out the bottom 2 lines and you have a weird combination of guys with some more skill playing with guys with less skill. Who knows about Kreider. As it stands right now their roster is not built to make a deep playoff run.

I would agree. Will make post season but could get bounced in first or second round. Hoping Kreider shows more. Has done little since his initial burst on the scene
Richards also needs to show he can still be of use

Not quite the start they hoped for...of course a massive road trip to open doesn't help
