What a series for the Blueshirts. They were just the far superior team, who wanted it more. This team is officially a Cup contender.

on one hand I feel something special growing for this team

on the other I feel Atlanta was so unprepared that it may not have mattered who they played, they would have been swept. Hopefully the Rangers level of play will be up to their next opponents.

Well let's not forget how close the first two games were and even tonight. By Game 3, the Thrashers were pointing fingers and questioning each others' passion. Obviously they had their issues, but our Rangers did a great job of taking advantage of a weak team. The week+ off might be an issue, as history has shown how extended rest can lead to rust. But there is something special about this team. They're a confident bunch, but very business-like about it. I don't doubt for a second that the Rangers can play up to ANY team's level, like everything else it's about keep things simple and letting Henrik shine. One thing that's good to see is that they have a definitive home ice advantage, something that might be a little overrated but is a convenience nonetheless.

This was a combination of a hot Ranger team, a flat Atlanta team and the most important part of a NHL championship run-- a hot goalie.

Thanks for the kind words, but I think we all realize that nothing has been accomplished yet. Just one step out of four.

Yeah, I think we really do. If we're going to get to the Finals, we're going to have to face them sooner or later. And it's not like the Sabres have played great against the Isles either. Ryan Miller has been shaky, their defense in general is pretty suspect and they've had the benefit of just about every call. To be honest, I think that Ottawa poses a tougher matchup than Buffalo. But I'll take them too.
