I'm never one to complain about officiating, but the Devils certainly didn't get the benefit of a few calls last night.

Boy, it's a strange feeling sitting there and watching Brodeur give up soft goals. Really not used to it...

I thought that despite the officiating and Marty's play, that the Devils played a very good road game last night.

Marty's been disappointing through 3 games. Very unusual. He'll never admit it, and we'll never know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's feeling the 79 games he played during the season. It could be a combination of physical and mental fatigue. Hopefully that's not the case, though.

Well, 3 games into the playoffs and already a must-win game Wednesday. Maybe this team just isn't as good as I thought they were...

they are as good as you thought they were... there is this immense panic throughout the Devils boards on the internet... and quite frankly I just do not get it... I have seen and witnessed this team accomplish things that were far more difficult then coming back down 2-1 in a playoff series... the Canes a 2 seed last year were down 2-0 to the Habs in the Quaterfinals last year... this is not 3-1 or 3-0... everyone needs to get off Lou and Marty... they have shown that they are able to acheive great things and beating the Lightning is not a daunting challenge.

Great game last night...Go Bolts.

BTW, Marty has not been that bad, even factoring in 2 soft goals in teh series. He has made a bunch of great saves, and has kept teh last two games much closer then they should have been.

I have not seen the games in their entirety, but the goals that Brodeur has given up are extremely uncharacteristic. With Tampa Bay being the great offensive team that they are, Brodeur cannot afford to be average.

I agree..The point I was making is that it cannot be all on Brodeurs' shoulders. He has looked awesome at times in the last two games ( I did not see the first game), but has had two lapses which cost his team two goals.

w00t nice goal by gomez. 4-3 win. I still don't like how many chances they ahd that they didn't cash in on, but I guess they cashed in on the only one that counted...

Had to work tonight but kept calling my friend for updates... looks like I missed out on a great one... good to see Gomer get in the series with the game winner... and Parise has emerged as a star all season but it is nice to see him shine on the national stage... 6 freakin goals thus far!

Incidentally, its ironic but the last time the Devils won in overtime in a playoff game was against the Bolts in 2003...

Apparently, Sun Sports in Tampa cut the game off before the overtime for boat racing.

Lets Go Devils... just got my tickets for Friday off StubHub!
