Leathersich is starting. I think Wheeler goes to AA and Mazzoni to high-A. Two of Verrett, Leathersich (as a starter), and Pill should also go to St. Lucie. Peavey is a bubble candidate for high-A or AA, but I think either place is alright.

Has anyone seen anything on what they plan for Moviel (probably pen), Leathersich? Cohoon has to be on the outs, right? Is Misch back?
I forgot about Stoner. And it's starting to get where there's enough SP depth we maybe would be better off keeping Beato in the pen, just let him get some innings in there in AAA. And I had Verrett in St. Lucie, but of the two, Pill might actually be more likely. I think Verrett has a bit more upside, but Pill was the more polished guy right now.
And I don't think they will push guys too aggressively, but I think they may want to give some of those young arms from Kingsport innings in Savanah. If you have to push a guy a bit just to make sure the most promising guys are getting the innings you do it.

I don't think that all of the guys signed to minor league free agent deals make Buffalo's roster. In the past, I believe one or two get released at the end of Spring Training (Les Walrond last year).
Moore is suspended for the beginning of the season. I doubt Cohoon is outright released, so he probably factors into the discussion somewhere. With Moore out, I'd probably move Harvey back to AA in Moore's spot and Cohoon could have Harvey's AAA spot.
Pants should probably be in the Savannah rotation. Turgeon was sent to the AFL (as a replacement for Moore), so I think he fits into the bullpen conversation somewhere also.
With all of the pitching coming behind him, I think Allen falls into the long man spot in A+ waiting for a rotation spot to open due to injury or promotion.
Yeah, Panteliodis belongs in one of those A ball rotations. I'd push Allen to the bullpen for him or you could send Camarena to St. Lucie and put Panteliodis in his rotation spot in Savannah.

I don't see Camarena being a candidate to skip Savannah. 50 innings above rookie ball, 21 for the entire 2012 season, good but not great numbers in BK.

What about Luis Mateo? Great year, probably be 22 years old
I believe DePo said he had visa issues last season, which kept him in the Dominican despite dominating the Summer League over there. Assuming those issues are cleared up, I think he ends up in the Kingsport or Brooklyn rotation, despite turning 22 years old in March. If he impresses the minor league brass in spring training, maybe he has an outside shot of cracking the Savannah roster in a piggyback type of role.

If there's room, I think those guys will both get opportunities in Savannah. But Panda Pants is a slot 9th rounder, who hasn't pitched yet. He's not going to get priority over some of those higher ceiling arms. If they think Fulmer, Morris, and Tapia are ready, someone is going to have to wait for short season ball to get a spot.
And I wouldn't bump Allen to the pen yet, either. Allen was still one of the 25 youngest pitchers to appear in the FSL, and there weren't more than a dozen younger pitchers with over 50 IP there. And he was somewhat raw when coming out of HS. Maybe they should have sent him back to the SAL, like the Phillies did with Trevor May when he struggled initially in the FSL. I'd like to see Allen get one more shot there.
DePodesta hinted today that both Jeurys Familia and Matt Harvey could go back to AA to join Zack Wheeler ..

Major "LOL" toward Wally if that happens since he seemed so confident he'd have at least 1 if not 2 of them. I love this news if true. Let all 3 of them pitch together. No rush for any of them. Major thumbs up from me. All have work to do.
