Nothing stands out as shocking except the Braves at 82-80

Then the 2nd Wild Card won't help?

I'll take the over on Cubs there. Can't say I disagree with 75 as a Mets forecast.

Yeah the Cubs pitching with Dempster, Garza, Volstad, Wood, Samardizja and Maholm should be above average. 66 wins seems sort of ridiculous.

For what it's worth, Vegas has the Mets o/u at 72, and the Cubs at 74.

I think money at over 72 is a good bet. 75 feels about right.

I think the Marlins are high at 89. I don't see that happening.

Hate to be a broken record, but I dread the idea of this team spending the entire year trying to grind out wins.

Whatever the number I'm rooting for the under.

I understand that, but I don't see it. There's nobody on this team who wants to quit. This isn't a team of Bobby Bo's and Mo Vaughn's and not good any more Roberto Alimar's. This is a team of players, many of them young, who want to prove themselves, and I think the coach is more than happy to grind out as many wins as he can.

I personally have very little faith in Mike Pelfrey, but I think the other 4 starters will give it their all.

I question the wisdom of the Rauch and Francisco signings, but the Bullpen could hold it's own.

and players like Murphy, Ike, Duda, Thole & Tejada - these guys won't quit the way a vet with a guaranteed contact might. I think, an injury or two might hurt, but if healthy, I think this team will grind out a lot of ("useless") wins.

You can root for under, but my instinct is telling me they could go over. - but I'll take either one. I won't be mad if they win 65, but I won't be mad or shocked if they win 80.

Didn't SI predict us to win the World Series in 2009?
