Phillies signed Thurston and Hu in one day. Freddy Galvis got hurt yesterday so I believe if the season started today, Pete Orr would be their starting 2B.
This would be funny if it would have absolutely any effect on their chances to win this year, which it won't. They'll just be far less entertaining to watch as they plod thru 2-0 games early on.

Terry Collins plans to have Lucas Duda bat sixth in the opening series against the Atlanta Braves, to avoid stacking lefty hitters Ike Davis and Duda consecutively. After all, Collins does not want to make it easy for Braves counterpart Fredi Gonzalez to summon stellar southpaw relievers Jonny Venters and Eric O'Flaherty without having Jason Bay split the two lefty hitters.

The downside is that pinch-hitting for Thole automatically results in burning 2 bench players since Nickeas isn't going to be the guy TC sends up to hit.
