The Mexico City Red Devils will have righthander John Lujan, of Waco, in the bullpen for Tuesday night's game against the Texas Rangers at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
The Rangers selected Lujan in the 15th round of the 2004 draft. They traded him to the Chicago White Sox in January, 2007, for catcher Chris Stewart, who appeared in 17 games with the Rangers.
Lujan, 27, pitched with the New York Mets' Triple-A affiliate in the last two seasons. This is his first year with the Rojo Diablos.

I like how Pelfrey is the losing pitcher even in opposing team's stadium renderings.

And apparently he started all three games of a tripleheader.

Acosta and Rauch primary set up guys?
That makes no sense. I guess it's better than Batista and "I think I'm gonna let Byrdsk cross over more this year" but it's probably the second worst answer.

Rauch "has" to be there because SandyCo basically made the point that the team had signed a closer and setup guy. As for Acosta, I think we all know that the real answer should be Parnell, but I also assume the team wants to keep the pressure off of him for as long as possible.
I consider these type of reports -- as well as reports about Bay being The Guy in LF -- similar to what the Mets did with Gary Matthews Jr. He was there, folks knew he wasn't the guy, but we get to watch him until he explodes and everything goes to where it should be.
