Also - Aderlin made another error. The countdown to 100 is on?

Nice debuts for Gorski, Huchingson, and Panteliodis. Jeffrey Paternostro saw Gorski and came away impressed, especially by his changeup. On the other hand, Toby seemed "meh" on Panteliodis, saying he threw 88-89 with offspeed pitches for strikes.

I'm definitely not advocating for a move yet, but I do wonder how long before they just stick Aderlin at 1B.

I was thinking the same, but didn't Marte have a similiar run a few years ago where he was so error prone it was a legitimate concern (talk at the time was that he was hurting the young Savannah pitchers as well as the team) and he did work himself out of it to the point a move off 3rd isn't mentioned anymore.

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

Especially when you don't already have a 1B prospect there.

Dykstra? What does he have to do with Aderlin? He's 2 levels ahead and a non-prospect.

Collins said Kirk may start hitting leadoff but the decision regarding a return to the minors will be 100% on Kirk. If he produces he will stay up and if he doesn't he will be sent down.
