For one day I was off but looks like the could be the overarching reason that a non prospect was promoted for Kirk.

Well it's not like den Dekker or Lagares have really shown they are ready for AAA. Lagares destroyed Binghamton last year (on the strength of a .400+ BABIP I might add), but the plate approach was Cesar Puello-like and it was only over 170 PA anyway. den Dekker was pretty mediocre and the contact rate was pretty miserable. I think both would benefit from at another half-season (or so) in AA.

From what I can tell despite his athletic gifts, Valdespin is not that strong at 2b. CF is probably the way to go.
