Freedom of speech from government not private employers.
Incorrect. You have freedom of speech absolutely. Whether you are employed by government, the private sector, etc... You just have to face consequences from the private sector or public sector regarding this. The freedom still exists.
And I think Ozzie was a butt for saying what he did; I do, however, understand it. There are two sides to the Cuban conflict over the period of 60 years. Guillen, a Venezuelan has a different perspective than the Cuban community in Miami.
My point was that it is ironic that he is being punished for speaking his mind in a country with freedom of speech, about a dictator who has curtailed this same freedom. Nothing more, nothing less. Irony.

Unfortunately, this game went exactly as we expected.

I believe this thing was blown out of proportion and that we should move on after his apology. However, admiring Fidel Castro is NOT understandable. I was born in Cuba and lived there until I was 15. Castro has done things over his 60 years in power that make him unworthy of any admiration.

Rule #1 is the customer is always right and when in doubt, see rule #1.
If the Marlins suspended him because he made a stupid remark that offends a big chunk of their customer base, you definitely have to understand it from a business standpoint. Though it does make you wonder... what were the Marlins expecting? THEY HIRED OZZIE GUILLEN TO BE THEIR MANAGER. Wacky comments are par for the course.

To me his stupidity is more astounding than his insensitivity. Why would that ever leave his mouth?

I hate to make this about politic but the Patriot Act and NDAA are slowly stripping away our freedom of any kind. This will be my only post about this.

Hopefully Wright is back soon. He's finally hitting again and this happens. Cedeno had a nice game at 3B, picking up 3 hits, including a nice double off of Clippard, but Cedeno should have been playing 2B and Murph to 1B. And Turner bumped over to 3B for the game. Terry's got to adjust accordingly. The problem is, where do you hide Murphy in the field when everyone is healthy? He was a butcher in LF (just ask Johan), he's a butcher at 2B (is it 4 double plays he's botched so far in 5 games?) and we already have Ike at 1B. Ike is struggling now, but I fully believe he will turn it around. He had hat nice stretch at the end of ST. You are going to have to deal with a few warts with a young team, but the less the better. What to do? Maybe start giving Dan some pop flies in LF again? Prepare for when Bay is either released or benched? Collins has got his hands full.

Due to the loss, my reign of terror with the IGT's is over, so someone else can try their hand today...

While I don't think the team is playoff-caliber, I don't think it'll be a repeat of that first 1962 season some fans and media fear.4-1 is not a bad start
