Charley Thurber is back for Savannah tonight after missing the minimum 7 days. That quashed MJ's belief that Thurber had played his last game in full season ball.

Sam Honeck goes on the DL with a strained right knee to make room.

Gorski wasn't hurt.

The B-Mets nearly cracked in the fifth. After Heiker Meneses was hit by Gorski to start the inning, Derrik Gibson pushed a bunt up the third base line. The B-Mets pitcher fielded the roller cleanly, but his throw to first tailed towards the runner. Gibson ran into Allan Dykstra's left arm and the ball rolled down the first base line. When the dust settled, Portland had runners at second and third, Dykstra was pulled from the game and Gorski's day was done. The southpaw took a no-decision and struck out five while allowing two runs over four innings.

Yeah, I had a feeling it was Dykstra hurt since he was immediately removed after the play.

Not if you're Allan Dykstra.

Sounds a little Cliff Floyd-ish.......

Vaughn played an entire season at A+ and is 23 next month. Gotta figure he's only a few months of good play from AA.
